I’m in a tough position, I’m really psyched on my 2 sets of signature pedals. The trailmix feels so good and works well in every situation. The JCPC is a combination of metal and plastic. It works even better because you get to grind one side while still having the stickiness of a metal pedal. - Jim Cielencki

The Triple Trap was arguably the most popular pedal of its day, and a best seller until modern day pedals of the last few years. When they were popular, Odyssey sold in excess of 1,000,000 Pedals. Triple traps were caged pedals, with removable cages, that could be replaced with OEM units or a slew of after-market cages (Trog, Crupi, etc) that still strike fear into to shins of those who used them.

In conjunction with Jim Cielencki, Odyssey designed and developed a new platform pedal from the ground up. The Cielencki Pedal, or JC for short. was based on the parallelogram shape made popular by Shimano in their earlier DX pedals. Each pin location, material, shape and curve was scrutinized and tested. The JC soon became known as one of the most popular BMX pedals of all time. It became obvious when almost every professional rider was using them, regardless of their sponsor. The end of the JC reign came from it’s rapid duplication by competitors who all had a JC version themselves. From the pins, to the end cap, to the graphics and colors, every feature of the JC had been mimicked by the competition. None were ever as good as the original.
