Here is a sneak peek at our upcoming Senior 2 Pivotal saddles in both the plastic and padded styles. If you get the padded style and decide to strip it down the road, you end up with the black plastic seat.

COLORS:
» Plastic: black, clear, red, brown and white
» Padded: black, brown, red and white

Just like your favorite pair of jeans, this new signature saddle by Aaron Ross is great brand new and outstanding worn in. Keep the denim for a while or rip it off right away. This two-in-one saddle looks good either way.

*Make sure to leave the dark denim. That part stays.

» available in black, gold, white and polished
» machined inner groove
» holds the seatpost
» 2014 aluminum
» 1 1/8″

Griswald Grips and Twisted PC Pedals are now available in the following clear colors:

» Strawberry
» Tangerine
» Graphite
» Blueberry
» Lime
» Grape

COLORS
» black, white and orange.

BUTTING
» Walls: .065″ – .049″
» Crossbar: .049″ – .035″

DIMENSIONS
» 26″ wide
» 7.75″ rise
» 11.5 deg. backsweep
» 4 deg. upsweep

Instead of shooting plastic into the JC mold, the JC PC was designed from the ground up, with many new ideas and only the JC shape in mind. The pledals have an ingenious way of attaching the body to the spindle. There is no spindle bolt hole. The pedal splits down the center, where the two mating sides sandwich around the spindle. Joining the two sides is achieved by the pins that thread into the mating side with replaceable steel nuts. This style of build creates an ultralight plastic pedal with the durability of an alloy pedal. In addition to weight savings, the grind options are multiplied compared to the metal version.

Using our Veteran saddle as a starting point, this well-padded couch is an Aaron Ross signature. It features a tear way top of Black denim, with a surprise underneath. Tear away the main denim section to reveal the Aaron keyboard in a color way to match his bikes and some other Odyssey products.

Also, this saddle is the perfect match for an Odyssey themed version of his Etnies shoe, The Number, scheduled to be released early 2010.

» available in black, gold, white and polished
» 7075 aluminium shell
» Helicoiled steel threads
» Angled flanges
» Hollow 20mm axle CNC machined from 7075 Aluminium.

Available as a wheel with Seven KA rim (M7 Wheel)

We just built up a custom wheelset for Chase Hawk and they’re laced up with a couple of our new products; hard anodized Hazard Lite rims and electroplated spokes.

We’re not selling these as complete wheelsets but you can buy just about everything on them separately, with the exception of the nipples. When the G-Sport Taper Hex Nipples come out, they’ll be available in this color.

All the parts are available separately.

Front Hub: Vandero 2
Rear Hub: Cassette 3
Spokes: Odyssey
Nipples: G-Sport Taper Hex
Rim: G-Sport Rollcage
Tires: Aitken Tanwalls, Red

The latest addition to the G-Sport Pleg family are clear and translucently colored plegs. Built using a variant of the original proprietary plastic compound, these see through versions have been known to slide fast on notoriously rough surfaces and copings and rails and anything you can throw at them. These clears Plegs outperform the original compound in both the standardized drop test and the long-term riding tests. The difference is noticeable and significant.

Available with 3/8″ or 14mm steel inserts and in clear, yellow, lavender, turquoise and blue colors. These clear sleeves are compatible with the original inserts.

*Not compatible with 19mm axle nuts.

There isn’t a “cassette” of cogs here, just a rock solid one-piece driver. Every component has been designed from the ground up to be as smooth and solid as possible. The pawls and ratchet ring are oversize, and because the driver and hub both run on the famously stiff 20mm G-Sport axle, everything will always be held in strict alignment.

» 3 oversize pawls running in low-drag pivot cavities.
» 3 independent long-travel springs.
» Spring and pawl retention system ensures optimum alignment of pawls and drive ring, and keeps the hardware securely in place during routine maintenance.
» Oversize ratchet ring with square tooth profile for easy left/right drive switching.
» 20mm, hollow, helicoiled axles in steel (14mm bolts) or aluminum (3/8” bolts). All bolts feature a 17mm hex-head and 6mm Allen slot.
» 10 tooth chromoly drivers with a unique needle-roller and plain-location bearing arrangement for unsurpassed durability.
» 2 oversized cartridge bearings in the hub shell.
» Threadless, press-on axle collars.
» All hubs work LHD or RHD “out of the box” without special parts or complicated modifications.
Lifetime warranty on steel axles.
» 1lb 3.9oz

Based on the ever popular Twisted PC Pedals,
these new colors are instant stand-outs.

Subtle in the light and glowing in the dark.

Here are some new threads we have going on: The Driver, Hairbike, Rig, Polo Bear 3 and Flatware Logo.

The short-sleeve shirts are all printed on American Apparel tees. 50/50 cotton on just about all of them, with the exception of the orange Hairbike guy. That wild ride is 100%!

All these goods are available now!

9-T driver Odyssey V3 cassette hubs and wheels are shipping now. The wheels will be available in either hard-anodize black or chrome, and the hubs are available in black, gold, high-polished or white. The drivers will be available separately toward the beginning of the new year, and they’ll be compatible with all of our earlier 14mm cassette hubs.

Why did it take so long? Well, as I’m sure you already know, 9-T drivers seem to love eating through cartridge bearings and chains of every type. Now although we don’t make chains, when it came to the driver, we didn’t want to produce anything smaller than a 10-T until we could improve on the life of the bearings for you.

Our new 9-T driver uses a scaled-down needle bearing and bushing configuration similar to the one found on the G-Sport Ratchet hub. We’ve made the 9-T drivers at a new shop that allows us to achieve tighter tolerances, and therefore also lets us maintain a higher level of concentric precision on the pawl turrets. This ensures that all three pawls are engaging at the same time, improving reliability, and allowing for a smoother overall drivetrain.

Thanks for reading!

Honey I know, I know, I know times are changing.
It’s time we all reach out for something new.
That means you too.
You say you want a leader,
but you can’t seem two make up your mind.
I think u better close it,
and let me guide you to the Purple Rain.

The following parts are now available
in Purple Rain, Purple Rain:

» Director Forks
» Lumberjack Bars
» Trailmix Pedals
» Hazard Lite Rims
» Evo II Brakes
» Monolevers
» Cassette 3 Hubs
» Grips (Matt Berringer, Jimmy Le Van and Griswald)
» Twombolts (not pictured)

These are our new fitted caps manufactured by Estate. They’re based out of Los Angeles and make all the hats there as well. The “Driver” is a standard fitted cap in Orange/Blue (basically NY Mets colors), and the “Pirate” is a Pillbox style cap in Brown with Orange letters.

» available in black, gold, white, polished and silver
» Inverted, classic six bolt design with top/bottom loading.
» Milled and slimmed to make it one of the lightest stems, without showing all the holes.
» 55mm reach.

So, what do we have here? Well, we’re fortunate enough to be working with a facility that has the official patent licensing rights for the threadless headset, and this means that you can count on the headset having the highest level of quality and reliability right out of the box. There’s no fussing about to get it to spin properly, and the tolerances are all being kept to the proper standards. The 45-degree precision ground bearing raceways are laser-etched with all of the pertinent technical information, and our top-cap offers one of the lowest overall stack heights available. As a bonus, we’ve also included some 2 and 3mm headset spacers that use the same finish as the top-cap. The color options are white, black, gold or high-polished. There are no overly gaudy graphics to deal with, and because this is a BMX-specific headset we’ve decided to go without the “throwaway” pre-load and star-fangled nut. Simple and straightforward. We’re confident that you’ll enjoy it as much as we do.

Our latest Senior 2 saddles feature authentic Mexican blanket fabric and are available in railed and Pivotal versions. Each saddle is unique with its own randomized colorway and pattern so no two saddles are ever identical.*

Railed versions are built with 7mm hollow rails and the Pivotal version features our unique, reinforced Pivotal base design. They’re stronger than your average Pivotal and hidden underneath the padding is a stripped, black, plastic saddle, already decorated with a clean design. Brand new or stripped to its core, all of our Pivotals will keep your bike looking fresh.

*In the unlikely event two saddle owners cross paths with identical seats, the two said saddle owners shall partake in a jovial celebration of high-fives and a dance around a sombrero. The development of a secret handshake between the two owners isn’t mandatory but it is highly recommended.

MODS: Sharpied the hubs on the lathe downstairs. Grinded my rear dropouts to make it 13.65″ or so. Cut and grinded my inside sprocket guard so it’s only using the three nuts and bolts on the down side of where the sprocket is for left foot forward. Replaced the barrel adjuster nuts on the Gyro cables with the presta valve tube things they use to keep valves through the rims on ten speeds with. Cut my bars a little bit (25.5″ Wide). Shuffled some pedal pins around. I replaced the brake shoe allen heads with old school round head brake shoe nuts cause the allen head things sometimes meet my ankles.

There are still a couple things I want to do to this bike that I’ve been slacking on. I mostly just wanted to get a new bike that wasn’t as shiny as my chrome and gold bike that I was riding for a long time before I crashed this summer and had to take a couple months off. I’ve been having a lot of good times riding this bike in the last couple months… it’s sweet.

Based on the ever popular Twisted PC Pedals, these new colors are instant stand-outs.

Subtle in the light and glowing in the dark.

Same shape as the Senior 2 but with Pivotal guts. The two versions include: Padded (like railed Senior 2) and Plastic Only. No need to strip a seat of its padding to find a crappy shell. This seat was made to be a raw plastic seat from the get go. If you get the padded version, you can strip that to find the same plastic shell underneath. It’s like two seats in one.

» Black
» White
» Red
» Brown
» Clear (Plastic Only)

G-SPORT BUTTED G-SPOKES: A spoke is only as strong as its weakest point, therefore there is no functional advantage in a design where the spoke’s middle is stronger than the elbow and thread. In fact, having a slightly slimmed-down “springier” center section can help to distribute shocks more evenly along the length of the spoke, rather than concentrating them at the ends. Road riders have utilized the advantages of butted spokes for decades, but for BMX there are other factors to consider. The new G-Sport spokes use a butting that is tailor-made for BMX. This is evident in the spoke’s slight cross-sectional reductions, super gentle transitions to the butted areas, and an extended elbow-end to cope with the stresses imposed during grinding. You’ll save roughly an ounce per wheel on 36’s, and the custom butted sections actually allow for a more durable wheel build, rather than a weaker one.
» Proprietary professional-grade stainless steel.
» BMX specific butting transition dimensions.
» 184, 186, 188, 192mm.
» Black or silver.

G-SPORT TAPER-HEX NIPPLES: Aluminum nipples have been tried in the past as a way to save crucial “rotating weight” from bicycle wheels, but while the aluminum can be stronger than traditional brass nipples in pure-tension, they are also much softer, and it is all too easy to round them off with an ordinary spoke key. The Taper-Hex nipples use a tapering hexagonal shape to increase the thickness of the metal around the spoke, and the tapering shape also allows the key to slide down easily onto the nipple while also eliminating slop in the interface between parts. The result is a “perfect” connection that prevents deformation of the spoke nipple. The hexagonal head (rather than square) also helps to simplify wheel-building too. The key is designed to rotate in the tight spaces of a BMX wheel and it’s small enough to keep on your key-chain. 36 aluminum nipples weigh 0.6 ounces (16.5g) verses 1.3 ounces (36g) for normal short brass nipples.
» Proprietary taper nipple and key interface simplifies wheel building and maintenance.
» 7075-T6 aluminum.
» Black, Gold, Silver and various anodized.
The weight savings with butted G-Spokes and the aluminum Taper-Hex nipples are relatively small, but taken together you can save nearly a quarter pound of weight from a typical pair of 36 spoke BMX wheels. Additionally, the spokes will allow for a more durable wheel, and the nipples greatly improve wheel assembly and maintenance.

Adam Banton has a new grip that’s designed with a speaker mesh pattern and guitar flanges. It also features our new Olastic Rubber compound which allows the grip to be softer without sacrificing durability. The thickness is about average but the harder you grip, the thinner it feels. Just like most of our other grips, if you don’t like the flange, you can just snip it at the slit. Our Par Ends come with it for freeeeee!!!

To get your hands on a pair, ask for ADAM BANTON 2 grips at your local shop or mail-orders.

The CHAINWHEEL sprocket uses the new Incisor teeth profile. The look of the CHAINWHEEL should be obvious to anyone who rode bikes anytime before the last 10 years. Sprockets used to be made of two separate parts, the chainring and the spider. They were usually connected by 5 bolts, for quicker gearing changes at the racetrack. These days riders usually commit to a gear ratio, so a solid sprocket is stronger, lighter and smaller. We still liked the look, so we brought it back in the CHAINWHEEL. Like the chainrings its modeled after, you will have a range of sizes, including 25, 27, 28.

Available now in Black/Silver, Red/Silver, Gold/Silver and Blue/Silver.

Since its introduction in 2005, the VERMONT sprocket has become a staple in the drive train category. For 2010, the five year anniversary, the VERMONT deserves an update. Following similar lines, The BURLINGTON sprocket is an improved, stiffer, stronger version of its predecessor, that also benefits from the new Incisor teeth profile.

Available now in Black, Gold, Blue and Red for 25t, 27t and 28t sizes. 23t is available in Black, with other colors coming soon.

The Ratchet Hub Guard uses 2014-T6 Aluminum to keep the strength high, weight low and price affordable. The guard replaces the steel collar on the Ratchet Hub, for a perfect fit and no spreading your frame’s dropouts to get it to fit. Steel insert inside the aluminum keep the fit perfect no matter the abuse. Best used with one of the 5 ribs in the backside of the hub down, centered with your grinding area.

Available now in High-Polished and Black.

Replaceable pedal bodies are now available for the JCPC!

The JCPC is designed so when you wear through the pedal, you don’t need to buy a completely new pair to get rolling again. All you need to do is get a set of these cost-effective replaceable halves.

You can get them in pairs of black or white and for the left or the right. Each half is marked so you can keep track of where they go.

This bike is put together by The Bicycle Source and is up for auction to benefit Ride For a Reason, an organization to help raise funds for cancer and Parkinson’s research.

A crazy Phoenix sunset at the end a great day of riding trails. Derek Riggs and his dad build and ride here at their home. Long live BMX.

A glimpse of what’s inside Adam Banton’s digital camera.

The Convertible will work with both Pivotal and railed seats, depending on which setup you choose to run. The Convertible’s design provides a traditional offset that is not found on the average Pivotal post. A lot of riders lean toward a seat position that is not achievable with a zero-offset post, so if you ever wanted to run your Pivotal seat pushed back, or forward, the Convertible will now allow you to do it.

An uncut Convertible Post, without guts, weighs approximately 4.3 ounces. Its unique forged design allows the post to be slammed without leaving the seat excessively high. If you’re not interested in the offset, the guts will obviously work with all other Pivotal posts and Pivotal compatible frames as well. Rather than simply rebrand a zero-offset Pivotal post, we wanted to provide another option for riders to pick from when looking for more flexibility with their bike set ups.

After trying out some big bars for a bit, Gary Young was psyched on how they felt and decided it was time to update his signature bars. The GY3 now features a 8.66″ rise, 12 degrees of backsweep, 4 degrees of upsweep and measures in at 28″ wide.

“Hey Matt, we need a photo for your welcome to the team announcement.” “Okay, I could probably do a feeble hard whip at this spot down the street.” 10 minutes later, we had our photo. Yeah Matt! We’re off to a good start.

Tom Dugan Tripod Saddle

Here’s our Tom Dugan signature Tripod seat. We worked with Tom to produce a simple slim seat design to his exact specifications. The debossed pattern on this seat even references the actual seat on his Honda motorcycle, which is a nice touch.
