Just a friendly reminder that there’s really only one choice out there when it comes to brake cables. Our Linear Slic Kables were the original and are still the best. These cables we tested are the BMX competition, not some Wal-mart crap. All cables are NOT created equal. RACE version is also the lightest cable, and SLS is the smoothest.

We are dedicated to improving our cable’s technical features, so we recently began selling all of our Linear Slic Kable® with our new K-Shield™ housing. This new design greatly improves the housing’s compression strength. To illustrate the difference we performed a test. As you can see, all “linear” cables are not created equal. The Odyssey Linear Slic Kable® with K-Shield™ has a compression strength that is nearly 70% greater than its nearest competitor. What this means for you is longer cable life and improved reliability.

Our new Linear SLS™ Slic Kable® is available now! “SLS” stands for Super Linear Slic, which is exactly what this cable is. The features are as follows:
- Utilizes the original BMX Linear Slic Kable® housing to prevent binding when the bars are rotated.
- Factory installed ferrule ends with the inner volcano shape to prevent housing blow out; A Linear Slic Kable® standard since 2008.
- Specially coated inner wire for ultra low friction, a proven feature resurrected from our once famous Brakeline cables.
- Gyro® lug included at one end of the inner wire for use with detanglers.
- Available in Black, White and Purple. More colors coming soon.
