Mike Aitken Bike Check

I watched Anthem 2 last night and was blown away with Aitken’s part (and the whole video for that matter). It’s unreal how much style and power than man has. Literally not a minute or two after, a text from him comes in completing the parts list for the bike check you see above.

Anyway, he’s been making some progress in his road to recovery and though he’s not back to 100% yet, he was firing out some style over the dubs in Beringer’s yard when we hung out with him last month! He even clocked some clips for an edit we have in the works.

He likes his bikes long and low with a little harder gearing (28/9) right off the bat. Here’s his most current bike, which happens to match our latest semi-matte teal color kit.

BIKE CHECK: Flatware, The Waltz

Here’s another bike we have on display in the Full Factory booth at Interbike. It’s called The Waltz and it’s equipped with the Flatware products that’s currently available, along with some samples and prototypes that are in the works.

Ocean Blue Bayou Bars, Flatware Forks and Socket Drive Twombolts will be available later this year (black versions are available now).

Aaron Ross’ Orange

The first bike up on the list is Aaron Ross’ Orange! Safety Orange is the new colorway we have lined up. The only part we have available right now for sale is the Aaron Ross Grip but you can expect everything else to come trickling in later this year.

One other thing that’s new in this bike check is Aaron Ross’ signature tire! It keeps the keyboard theme of all his other signature parts and the thread pattern are inverted keys which spell out some fun messages from Aaron Ross and a handful from the contest we held last year (we’ll be announcing the winners soon). Gary Young has a bike check up over at the Sunday site. We noticed some kids happened to spy that he’s not running his own grips right now and that’s mainly because he’s in the process of updating his signature grip so he’s trying out some other ones to see what changes he wants. Also, the Gary Young bar will also be getting a fresh update soon so keep an eye out for that as well!

Adam Banton just sent us some new pics of his bike. The theme is freestyle and the white tanwall rims are in full effect. If the fist of post rule looks like it’s being violated, that’s because Morgan Wade dropped his seat for him so could learn decades and opposite whips. Lowering it has helped a lot and it doesn’t look like it’ll be coming up again any time soon; “You don’t mess with someone who looped Mt. Baldy.”

Mike Gonzalez sent us some pics of his splatter bike, decked out with some Fire Engine Red parts. The Senior 2 saddle is available now and the rest of the red will come early next year.

We have Mike on the team as our designated racer but he’s down to shred some parks and ditches as well. Check out the Swine Flu Tour for some clips.

3/8 Axle for the Ratchet Hub

You may have noticed on Adam Banton’s last bike check that he has a 3/8″ axle listed for his Ratchet hub and JC has one on his bike too. These aluminum axle kits are available now and come with spacers which helps fit the hub to most 14mm dropouts. If you’re looking to shave some weight or maybe even just clean up the look of your bike with our Volcano Bolts, this kit would be a great upgrade for your Ratchet. Hit up the mail-orders or your local bike shop to get your bike on one.
