June 11, 2008TANWALL TIRESSome of you eagle-eyed the Tanwall tires in those riding pics that Jim posted from the other day, and emails/comments began. Above is a better pic of my bike with the Tanwall tires so you can check them out (click the pic for bigger version). The front is a knobby Aitken, and the rear is a Path. The label on the tire is not right, so disregard that. These Tanwall tires are being made to "look" like old school skinwalls, but are way more durable as the casings coincide with what we are offering now. Actual skinwalls wouldn't hold up very well these days, but the Tanwalls will. These are a few months out. More info soon. Posted by Nuno O at June 11, 2008 11:11 AMComments
those are pretty sweet. Posted by: john at June 11, 2008 12:36 PMyeah, what he said ^ Posted by: jake at June 11, 2008 01:48 PMlook awesome on black rims Posted by: besty at June 11, 2008 02:02 PMi would like to see it in red or blue.. Posted by: Charly at June 11, 2008 02:38 PMCan you explain what prevents you from making Klyte tanwalls? Thanks Posted by: Daniil at June 11, 2008 05:28 PMWe haven't said the Tanwalls will never come in Klyte. Klyte tires have only come out in the Frequency G so far in America. If after some time people seem to like the Klytes and people also seem to like the Tanwall tires, maybe they can hook up and have some Tanwall/ Klyte spawn. Until then, Tanwalls will come in Plyte. Posted by: Ben at June 11, 2008 09:14 PMsweet, how long does it take to get warrantied goods back? I've sent emails and been waiting for ages... Posted by: Andrew at June 11, 2008 09:56 PMYou do understand that the most popular tan wall tire will be 1.75" Chase tire, don't you? People WILL be buying tan wall Klyte 1.75" Chase tires for sure... Also, will tan walls be more expensive? Thanks Posted by: Daniil at June 11, 2008 09:56 PMif you would just make path, dirt path, and aitken tires in klyte im sure everybody would be all over them, i mean who wants to try out a klyte in a flatland tread only??? Posted by: Daniel at June 11, 2008 10:27 PMThose look really awesome. I have a slight feeling KC Badger's white wall custom painted tires sparked the idea for this one. I might buy some for my soon to be bike. Posted by: Nathan at June 11, 2008 10:31 PMdang... you guys clearly know exactly what time it is. Those are bangin'. Kudos. Posted by: S.Bros at June 11, 2008 11:16 PM"i would like to see it in red or blue.." i too would like to see that happen, but until then i'll be allover the black ones. can't wait to get a set. Posted by: at June 12, 2008 03:00 AMSo long as they perform as well as your previous tyres then i'll buy them, I am also impressed to see that you don't have directors...very nice Posted by: Aaron at June 12, 2008 03:34 AMwill these becoming in 2.25 tire sizes cause that would be sweet Posted by: jeremy barger at June 12, 2008 07:00 AMone word..."CHASE Frequency G" tanwalls...1.75 Posted by: ~SIN~ at June 12, 2008 08:53 AMthose look sick! chrome lumberjackssssssssss Posted by: jeremy Anderegg at June 12, 2008 09:25 AMpleeaase bring out whitewalls Posted by: canks at June 12, 2008 08:42 PMpretty sure i have a set of klytes in aitken and path.... god bless australia haha vite yes for red and blue wall Posted by: mitchy C at June 14, 2008 10:20 PMI hope they never come out in klytes, why anyone would pay 30 bucks for one tire is beyond me. Parts are just getting more and more ridiculously expensive, and the last thing I'd be willing to pay for is 60 for a set of tires. New school kids are just bitches.
