Im not your greatest fan as it is now, but when you get the Chrome Wave II i will hate you regardless of however nice im sure you are in real life.... :D Posted by: Jon at June 14, 2008 06:41 AMok, so i know the director 2 wont ever come out, but will chrome directors ever exist? or is that also never to be released? Posted by: tony at June 14, 2008 11:32 AMYou have that backwards. The Director 2 has come out and the Chrome forks will never come out. Posted by: chet at June 14, 2008 11:55 PMWhen is the Ratchet hub coming out??????????
director forks look sick in chrome. i think directors look stupid personally haha i know everybody is gonan yell at me for saying that but when is the ratchet coming out?? Posted by: Mike. at June 15, 2008 04:33 PMpretty sure if my memory serves me correctly that when you show-chrome cro-mo or any other low-alloy steels that it pushes hydrogen atoms between the molecular bonds of the steel, making it much weaker. i'm suprised that no one at odyssey already knew that. that's why race car chassis are not allowed to be chromed, they're made from cro-mo aswell. Posted by: matt rolley at June 16, 2008 10:24 PMWe have said over and over again, Chrome Plating weakens the material and that is why we will Never be selling the forks and the cranks. Bars have proven themselves to hold up to being chromed, so that is what our offering is. Posted by: Ben at June 17, 2008 12:25 AMfair enough. i suppose if it says lifetime warranty, you really can't complain too much. btw are those tan-walls coming out in klyte versions? Posted by: matt rolley at June 17, 2008 12:42 AMFrom previous post: "We haven't said the Tanwalls will never come in Klyte. Klyte tires have only come out in the Frequency G so far in America. If after some time people seem to like the Klytes and people also seem to like the Tanwall tires, maybe they can hook up and have some Tanwall/ Klyte spawn. Until then, Tanwalls will come in Plyte." Posted by: Ben at June 17, 2008 09:46 AMmy klyte path has seem to have blown up can i send it in and get a new one Posted by: mike at June 17, 2008 11:28 AMKlyte Path? Where did you get it from? We still haven't gotten those here in the States. If possible send a photo of the "blow up" to benw at odysseybmx dot com and I will take a look and figure it out from there. Posted by: Ben at June 17, 2008 11:31 AMwill odsy make tanwalls in red or blue?? that could be sweet. Posted by: Charly at June 17, 2008 03:13 PMWas I banned from Odyssey e-mail servers? I never get replies. Posted by: Daniil at June 17, 2008 05:06 PMDaniil resend your last email. I lost a bunch of them and I think yours may have been with it. I saw it over the weekend. We are really busy just doing our everyday tasks and it takes a lot of time for us to get around to responding to all the emails we get, especially since we don't want to give some sort of generic reply. I know that I had already answered a lot of your questions through the posts you were involved in, so a direct email to me wasn't going to yield any different results. As far as your suggestions: "For your protection and ours we are not allowed to review unsolicited product design suggestions from outside sources at this time. When approaching a company it is strongly recommend that you request a non-disclosure legal form (drafted specifically to protect both parties) before submitting any information." I hope this helps. We do not ignore anyone. If the email pertains to any type of warranty we forward it accordingly so that it is taken care of as fast as possible. All other emails can take some time to cycle through, so please be patient. Thanks.-ben Posted by: Ben at June 17, 2008 05:19 PMI've been waiting for chrome Lumberjacks for forever.
