May 19, 2008NEW PC COLORSThe next round of Twisted PC colors are here, and will start shipping out soon. The colors that will be available are Mint, Orange, Purple and Fluorescent Red. It's hard to tell the Orange and Fl. Red apart in the pic, but think Gary Young on the Orange, and think Aaron Ross for the Fluorescent Red. Sexy!

May 13, 2008MEXICOI just returned from the Red Bull Elevation comp in Mexico. I was invited to Judge, as was Matt Beringer (above). However, Matt ran into some bad luck and crashed on his face, and had to go to the hospital. This prevented him from judging on Saturday, and Nasty filled in. But since Matt is Matt, we all saw him strolling back to the tower with a huge sombrero and fake mustache on (above), which was super funny. He was pretty beat up, but still in good spirits. That dude rules. Gary Young was also on hand and qualified into the finals, but couldn't ride since he tweaked his knee. That was a shame too, as he was riding really well (and I'm not just saying that because he is one of ours). He was doing rad transfer lines on the tail end of the jumps and did the best 360 flatty transfer from right to left that I've ever seen. Hope all is well with the knee. I saw bunch of local dudes with pretty sweet rides and a bunch of Odyssey stuff, so thanks for all the support out there. I'm sure the comp will help inspire a bunch of kids to ride. Not many contests as big as Elevation go down there often, so all the kids were super psyched and getting autographs from all the riders which was good to see. Check out Ride BMX for some photos and results.

May 06, 2008ONLINE VIDEO CONTEST INFOThe Contribution Video contest is calling for entries now. Categories include Best Trick, Best Video Part and Best Group Entry - so start filming. There are lots of Odyssey prizes, and all of the proceeds go to BMX-related charities and causes. Contribution BMX Video Contest Now Accepting Submissions Contribution Video is now accepting submissions for its 1st contest. Submissions will be open until June 30th. There are prizes being offered up from Odyssey. All of funds raised are being donated to three user-voted charities. More information is available at http://www.contributionvideo.com/. Contribution video contest is a grassroots contest aimed to highlight potentially unheard of talent in BMX riding and BMX videography while at the same time raising some money for charities within the BMX industry. There are 3 categories: Single trick — single-trick videos are exactly what they say on the tin; a single rider doing a single trick. Standard part—One rider starring in a full-length (2-4 minutes) video part, as you see in your favorite company videos. Group entry—Several riders cooperating together to submit a montage part. There are two prizes awarded for each of these categories, one is picked by the general public through voting on the Contribution website and one is picked by a panel of sponsors and judges. It is 15 dollars to enter into the competition with 100% of the proceeds going to BMX related charities (http://contributionvideo.com/charity). There are tons of great prizes available (http://contributionvideo.com/prizes) for you to win and each entry has a chance to win in the general public voting and in the category picked by the judges.
