January 30, 2008Terry Adams; winner in our book......and in the judge's books at the BMX Games in Sydney he's a winner also. Australia's largest BMX comp (and flat comp, for that matter) awarded Terry with 1st place for its 2008 event. Congratulations to Terry, Simon O'Brien (2nd place), York Uno (3rd place) and all the other competitors. Comments

Posted by: bro-g at January 30, 2008 10:55 PMIt's good that Odyssey has some flatland news, I kinda felt discriminated reading only about street riders. Flatland Forks without brake mounts when! Posted by: Daniil at January 31, 2008 07:45 AMI think Odysseys new flatland forks are just a lie like saying "The sky is green" or "Tom Cruise is NOT crazy". I'm glad to see Simon riding again, he's just awesome. And congrats Terry! Come Toronto it should be a really awesome contest. Posted by: Chris -not from ODSY at January 31, 2008 12:57 PMif flatland is your thing thats cool. but i think the flatland thing will flop. its not in and its not things people want to do or see. Posted by: Trent at January 31, 2008 06:07 PM"IF you dont live and breathe it you will never understand." I think about that everytime I want to diss someone else's thang. Posted by: kyle at February 1, 2008 03:10 PMTrent...your a moron. Flat started BMX before anyone decided "Hey, lets take that bike off some sweet jumps". It might not be as big as other varieties of riding but its not going anywhere. Posted by: Chris -not from ODSY at February 2, 2008 09:18 AMI mean no disrespect, Trent, but you're incorrect. Flatland is a unique part of BMX, with it's own subculture. Just look at Flatlandfuel.com. If there wasn't a demand for flatland specific stuff, it wouldn't exist. Anyway, who cares what's "in"? Are you wearing girls jeans? Posted by: yaR at February 2, 2008 09:29 AMi think you'll find dirt jumping came before flatland. and when did Simon stop riding? it was crazy getting to meet Terry in Sydney, the dudes off the hook and encompasses everything thats good and that i love about groundriding. i was happy i got the chance to tell him so in person. |
