NEW EVOLVER 2 BRAKE COLORS

New Evolver 2 brake colors shipping now.

-Teal
-Black Chrome
-Lavender
-Raw
-White
-Copper

The Evolver 2 brakes also have the following running changes:

1. New forge tooling that provides for a sleeker side profile.
2. All of the cable set screws are now flat-tipped to prevent excess damage to the cable's inner wire.
3. Cable lugs are smaller and use a 10mm hex head.
4. Pre-lugged straddle cable is shorter.
5. Front cable adapter is smaller and made of aluminum.
6. Updated instruction sheet.

The arm's forged design requires only minor secondary machining. The benefit of using this approach is that we can maximize the part's strength while minimizing its retail cost.

Just add the extra $10 or so and supply them stock with Kool Stops... They'd still be cheaper than the Flys...

Kids go out and spend the extra money on new pads anyway...If we didn't have to do that you'd be saving us money.

The A Brake pad supplied with the Evolver brake set works just as well as Cool Stop Pads..

How come the anodize on the Evolver brakes are glossy and not matte like other people's anodized parts?

Posted by: Heng at September 22, 2007 11:16 AM

None of the brakes pictured are anodized. They are either plated or powder coated.

Yes sir.

Heh.

Posted by: Guyroy at September 22, 2007 01:20 PM

So does that mean the production EVO's are powder coated?

Posted by: Heng at September 22, 2007 06:36 PM

what about colored breaklevers?

Stock or limited?

Posted by: milford at September 23, 2007 08:00 AM

The stock Black Evolver 2 brakes are anodized. The smooth surface of the brake arms is what possibly gives them a shine. If a surface appears dull, there is a chance the surface was shot peened before anodizing. Hope that helps.
