INTERBIKE/SHOW BIKE

The Odyssey staff, along with everyone else from the bike industry, will be at Interbike all this week. So if you call or email, please be patient with us. We will get back to you when we return. However, there will be someone here, should you need help.

As a sneak peak, here is a pic of one of our sweet show bikes that weighs only 38 pounds.

We'll be waiting for the pics of new stuff from Interbike!

Posted by: Daniil at September 24, 2007 05:37 PM

Years from now when the Wombolts are outdated Odyssey is going to make a two-bolt crank design. I also predict small spindles that are splined will gain popularity.

38 pounds???????

Posted by: belnapp at September 24, 2007 06:10 PM

sea foam

Posted by: timcinnati at September 24, 2007 06:34 PM

oh dear. the unshown half of the bike is probably something that will boggle our minds.

Posted by: asdf at September 24, 2007 07:05 PM

sickness, that show bike is pretty sweet lookin!!

Posted by: jross at September 24, 2007 07:47 PM

38 lbs? nice. Bring back the oldschool tanks.

Posted by: Chris from Somewhere at September 24, 2007 08:12 PM

I'm sure 38 lbs was a typo or a joke. Even 28 isn't all that, these days. Low 20s is light. Below 20 is nuts.

Posted by: yaR at September 24, 2007 08:43 PM

That is one ugly ass bike...

Posted by: josh at September 24, 2007 11:26 PM

BMX tandem?

Posted by: chris at September 25, 2007 01:52 AM

im guessing a homer coaster, or maybe even a spokeless rear wheel haha.

Posted by: zac at September 25, 2007 02:29 AM

I think from the angle of the top tube it has multiple seattubes to display different seats.

Posted by: rob at September 25, 2007 04:26 AM

Either they are taking the piss & its like 18 lbs because i highly doubt with all the plastic & super light stuff odyssey has out it would be 28lbs. Or as mentioned its a tandem it has a laid back head tube angle, im thinking tandem too.

Posted by: Jon at September 25, 2007 08:19 AM

wow odsy why do you just love to fuck with us bikers who like to know all the new shit be nice were your supporters give us the low down all the time

o and guyroy that is like the funniest shit ever im not even kiddin i love my 48 splined cranks and every kid in my town rides profiles cant argue with success

fyi never get the demo medial cranks tho 2 weeks and they already got bad"wobble"

Posted by: nopobmxer01 at September 25, 2007 01:14 PM

Whoaaaa 38 pounds..............that is so light
i dont see how they got it down to 38 though
they must be running everything Ti or plastic

i thought my 49 pounder was light

Posted by: steven Ponohue at September 25, 2007 06:02 PM

OMGzors the forkz r bentzz!!!11one!1

Posted by: Joe B. at September 25, 2007 08:03 PM

that ht angle makes me want to poop. and it looks like you got freerunners marking up yo walls.

Posted by: kirk at September 25, 2007 08:35 PM

probobly 2/3 bikes build in to one like a tandem
so they can display all their parts.

Posted by: tate at September 25, 2007 10:43 PM

"ODYSSEY IS FOR BRAIN WASHED KIDS. THE OWNER OFF ODYSSEY DOES NOT RIDE BMX. Odyssey aint cool kids"

Woah, woah...I'm not sure which is more offensive, you're misguided judgment of Odyssey or your general lack of intelligence(it's not -that- hard to type...)

Posted by: Guyroy at September 26, 2007 04:34 PM

Oh yes, and I accidentally used "you're" instead of "your" because I changed the wording before making the final post.

Just had to clarify. :)

Posted by: Guyroy at September 26, 2007 04:35 PM

who even started odyssey? i know they were around back in the 80's and 90's but who the hell started it?

Posted by: matt at September 26, 2007 04:52 PM

this ain't the come up boys and girls. keep the shit talk there, don't spread this epidemic all over the bmx sites.

Posted by: Andrew at September 26, 2007 08:18 PM

Its obviously one of those delivery carts with the dual wheels in back.

Posted by: william at September 26, 2007 09:44 PM

Isn't the JimB. I see posting on here all the Jim Bauer?

Doesn't he work for Odyssey?

I mean the April issue of RideBMX had him doing 5 story death gap, it's on Pg. 72

That's enough to make me ride Odyssey parts, plus that frame is just bad ass.

Posted by: Kevin at September 27, 2007 03:14 AM

Correction on the first statement. "Isn't the JimB. I see posting on here all time, Jim Bauer?"

Posted by: Kevin at September 27, 2007 03:16 AM

Its a tandem, thats why it weighs so much.

Posted by: Hagbard at September 27, 2007 09:44 AM

i dont think it matters who own odyssey... their main employee's are known riders and they make alot of good products, well priced and quality.

so who gives a shit who makes the gear as long as it's good.....

i guess you hate basically every bike company because riders arnt making the actual product ????
some people are unbeleivable

also a tandem bike would be nuts..... hope it is :-)

Posted by: steve at September 27, 2007 11:07 PM

If anyone watches the odyssey interbike they will see that its a tandem and someone is busting out flatland on it, its pure nonsense.

Posted by: xg43x at September 28, 2007 01:52 PM

ehh i wasnt saying that odyssey is a bad company, run most of there parts and think there great. but i just want to know who started odyssey.

Posted by: matt at September 28, 2007 02:05 PM

ya it's a tandem sweet looking too

Posted by: belnapp at September 28, 2007 05:17 PM

Posted by: Nick at September 29, 2007 11:08 PM

that bike looked sick at interbike, just wish i could of rode it.
and i think 38 pounds was light for what typer of bike it is.

Posted by: spencer at September 30, 2007 07:59 PM
