Adam Banton Limited grips

Everyone who has signature grips with us got to pick some custom colors a while back for their grips to come in. Adam Banton went the extra mile inspired by some of his Fender® guitars and came up with these.

The first one available will be Lava, the fire looking one. The second will be Red Marble, or "jordan" as I like to call it. Enjoy.

These are waiting to be shipped here and should be availabe in mid-late August.

Before I read any of these comments, I looked at the picture and said to myself, "Do they seriously expect me to put these on my bike?"
A perusal of these comments leads me to believe I'm not alone in my wondering.

odyssey should do this with all their grips

or take the 10 most requested colors for grips and make them limited edition

that would be pretty sweeet

i personally prefer the gary young grips the most from odyssey

and if you made them in mustard yellow

or ketchup red

that would be prime

Posted by: Josh at July 19, 2007 09:28 AM

Maybe if you like rocking out in a bowling alley? Too many guitars; too much like bowling ball. Too much like the new We The People grips.

these super ugly grips!

Posted by: funny at July 20, 2007 01:13 PM

just kidding these grips are great!!!

Posted by: funny at July 20, 2007 01:30 PM

why hate?

if you dont like them dont buy them

I personally like both of them

even for those who dont like the fender influenced shit at least it looks like tye dye...its rad

keep getting plain colored grips be me (and i bet odyssey's) guest...you goons already buy every new lightweight in style part they make anyone...i doubt its a big deal...

its not like its a 100 dollar set of forks

Posted by: doesn't matter at July 20, 2007 07:37 PM

hey doesnt matter stop worrying about the people who hate them nd worry about yourself you have no life why would write a freakin novel about shit.

"keep getting plain colored grips be me (and i bet odyssey's) guest...you goons already buy every new lightweight in style part they make anyone...i doubt its a big deal..."

That's not fair. Just because people don't like these grips doesn't mean they're either weight weenies or goons. I'm neither and I still don't like the new colors.

However, I think taking inspiration from Fender and running with it is a great way to go. I think signature stuff needs to be more personalized. Good on Odyssey for this one.

By the way I hate your "questionable content" stuff. Sorry for those spaces, I couldn't post it another way.

Posted by: Daniil at July 21, 2007 01:23 AM

oops, looks like it worked.

sorry.

Posted by: Ben at July 21, 2007 08:42 AM

it wasnt that big of a post and it was a generalization about the weight

you were right i was wrong to generalize

Posted by: doesnt matter at July 21, 2007 10:35 AM

can you put up some pics of the old (skinnyer) wombolts and the new and improved (beefier) ones so we can see how much fatter they really are?

Posted by: olly 1 at July 21, 2007 02:08 PM

ill run these grips just because everyone hates em.

Posted by: kirk at July 22, 2007 06:04 PM

Update!?

Posted by: wethefeeble at July 23, 2007 06:59 AM

good to know odyssey and wtp grips are made in the same place.

Posted by: nice at July 23, 2007 09:40 AM

"Swirl" grips are at least twenty years old, so attributing this "pattern" to We The People, or Odyssey is laughable. I'm sure both companies are offering it as just what it is, a color option.

To think that only "one place" has the technology or ability to mix rubber color pellets for a mold is hilarious.

Posted by: Judge Wapner's Ghost at July 23, 2007 10:54 AM

if you made team grips like that i would probably buy them

Posted by: cm08 at July 23, 2007 02:19 PM

^oh hell yeah(orgasmically). i would buy a shitloaf of them just the same way i order my tubes.

Posted by: kirk at July 23, 2007 07:01 PM

these grips are more powerful in more ways than you shall know mortals.
