June 14, 2007THE SINCEREST FORM?After receiving a bunch of phone calls and e-mails about this, we've got to say that we're flattered (and a little confused) by the profound influence that Adam Banton's BETA Bag seems to have had over Carhartt Europe's latest backpack. thats a cool bag Posted by: olly 1 at June 14, 2007 03:57 PMi'm sure there has been more calls and e-mails about plegs but there's no update about those and what the hell is with all these stupid updates i'm worried about parts not a couple of pictures and who's on the cover of a magazine that's not gonna help me with my bike or my riding Posted by: Casey at June 14, 2007 04:04 PMThat's scarily similar to the BETA! Posted by: Matt at June 14, 2007 05:16 PMthanks to casey ^^ for keeping it real. well put. Posted by: kirk at June 14, 2007 06:37 PMyea i dont think some ppl dont give a shit about magazine covers i wouldnt mind part and video updates Posted by: dertjmper at June 14, 2007 06:46 PMlisten guys, not for nothing, a new part isn't gonna help your riding that much, neither is sitting here bitching about updates, maybe the guys working on the plegs are too busy putting the final details on that they dont have time to update you every day... the only thing thats gonna help your riding is to go out and ride... be thankful you can, my buddy is out with a broken ankle and i cant ride till i get my ribs checked out, so stop wasting your time jerkin off and get out there. Posted by: Dan at June 14, 2007 07:36 PMIf we had Plegs ourselves we could be finding out whats wrong with them, kinda like the whole Wombolts fiasco with people not installing them right. Posted by: Albert at June 14, 2007 08:03 PMWhat's the whole story on the wombolts? I heard a bad batch got recalled? Meh...rumors. One of my friends has gone through a few sets of wedges though. Mostly cause he's just that badass haha..not really Posted by: cooper at June 14, 2007 08:43 PMthat's not what i was saying dan and i ride at least 4 hours a day i'm saying that new parts would help my bike and they could actually help riding because they're going to slide faster and there and some wood benches at the local high school that are gonna be a little more rideable and people might not bitch as much about bikes destroying the school but seriously i don't really care at all about what a pro is up to just cause they're pro everybody wants to know their life story and how many times they use the bathroom a day i want to know about the parts and i want to see some footage and i want how to videos and maybe a few bike checks just cause i wanna know what's good cause the pro's aren't gonna use it if it's not good but the last seven updates haven't said one thing about a part and people have been asking about plegs forever and not one thing has been updated you could at least give some pictures and tell us how much longer the price and that kind of shit Posted by: Casey at June 14, 2007 09:39 PMindeed^ Posted by: kirk at June 14, 2007 11:12 PMHey Casey: I was at the store today and they had a special on these, so I picked up a few extra. Take as many as you need, you belligerent fucking retard… ................................................................... i see wat your saying casey, but let the guys do there job, i mean odyssey is cool enough to have this update thing goin on in their webpage, most bike companies barely have a webpage. and if u need to slide faster, throw some wax down and when it comes to not destryoing shit... well... it comes with the territory... Posted by: Dan at June 15, 2007 05:08 AMHaha with what casey said I could have learnt whips. Thats the idea, stop having internet arguements over stuff and go ride. Im off now, to ride my bicycle Posted by: Piers at June 15, 2007 05:24 AMCasey, Stop being an egotistical ass and realize that Odyssey doesn't cater to you, there are other people who do enjoy timely minor updates, and if you were to stop buying their products, they wouldn't even notice. Posted by: VxD at June 15, 2007 06:34 AMhey where am I? is this the come up bmx site? Posted by: stoked at June 15, 2007 08:35 AMKirk loves Casey Posted by: Will at June 15, 2007 09:05 AMthats it, for all you guys who are bitching... you ride your bike! your bike doesn't ride you, if you cant make due with regular parts and need plastic coated pegs to make urself a better rider, then why not just go play a video game? the rider makes the rider, not the parts Posted by: Dan at June 15, 2007 09:15 AMfirst of all dan it's amazing that you're actually half way mature and can talk to people in a decent respected manor and second elliot you're tring to fight over the internet because i don't use punctuation it's not because i can't it's because i choose not to and i can get my point across faster without it and i don't see the point if people know what i'm trying to say without it and it's easy to start a fight on the internet but you're probably a 12 year old 140 pound little boy who has circle jerks with is friends you might even be the pivot guy who walks around and finishes people off and last but certainly not least egotistical is not the word to describe my actions or comments in any way i come to a bike part site for the best bike part company out there to look for product news ride bmx is not what i want to know about i spend around a thousand dollars a year on odyssey parts and all i ask is part updates and it's bullshit that there has been nothing posted about plegs anywhere or the flatland forks or is there gonna be a new free coaster i know there is stuff that they know that we don't and that's wrong because without us they would not be Posted by: Casey at June 15, 2007 11:10 AMI greatly appreciate the enthusiasm but we have a responsibility to our distributors, shops, and to you to post information when products are close to shipping, or when there's relevant news to share. Things like the Pleg and Flatland Forks won't be in shops until sometime in August at the earliest. The G-Sport Freecoaster is longer off. We may be able to show the hub at Interbike, but it's hard to say since it's still in the early testing stages. Please try to be patient, and we'll share more information on everything as it becomes available. Thanks. thanks chris but do you have any idea how much plegs are gonna be or if there is gonna be white ones? Posted by: Casey at June 15, 2007 01:35 PMThey should be approximately $10 per peg, with replacement packs selling at around $8 for two sleeves. This price is obviously subject to change still. Colors are a possibility, but we're likely to only have black to start. Posted by: Chris from Odyssey at June 15, 2007 01:41 PMthanks chris that's what me and kirk have been asking forever Posted by: Casey at June 15, 2007 04:51 PMonce again... indeed^^ man, i wish i could have got an answer that fast, casey holds his shit down, hes the man and so is chris, thanks guys. now i can fall asleep tonight. oh yeah those are cheap, pimp-ass prices too. Posted by: kirk at June 15, 2007 08:28 PMFINALLY now u guys r gonna stop bitchin and gettin into arguments right Posted by: belnapp at June 15, 2007 09:45 PMyou guys should take this argument over to bikeguide.org we all love a nice little verbal fuss these days and BTW does the carhartt bag come with a tool pouche and spoke wrench? ha! Posted by: mark at June 16, 2007 10:01 AMthanks kirk and i wish everything would get answered that fast why doesn't it i don't understand just a small update like that or a guess on how long it's gonna be is seriously all it takes to make me happy thanks chris for the answers and thanks again kirk and i completely agree i might just buy like 4 of them and like 20 sleeves when they come out just cause they're so cheap and about the whole bag which i haven't even bothered to comment on i think it's definately not as cool as the beta it's a little too redneckish for me i've never seen and bmx logger Posted by: Casey at June 16, 2007 01:38 PMIf you want a quick answer, why don't you try e-mail, or a phone call, or post it on bmxboard or bikeguide. Fuck sake. Posted by: VxD at June 16, 2007 02:34 PM:) at casey and :( at VxD, thecomeup is where its at, BG is cool too though.
