My rawed Elementary is one of the best parts on my bike. Right next to my Ody bars and forks. ;) Like the review says, proper lubrication is key. Posted by: Guyroy at June 28, 2007 09:55 PMno ifs or buts the elementary is the best stem in the market; oldest part on my bike 2.5 years as good as the first day (ie, excellent) and it really grabs your bars all around; hey doug, thank you for being a douche bag spelling bee! no one cares... Posted by: p0kertr0n/3mta3 at June 29, 2007 10:45 AMis there ever going to be a v.2 steer wedge released with gyro tabs? Posted by: Ryan at June 29, 2007 11:48 AMI've had my elementary since Christmas 05 and not a single thing has gone wrong on it. It slipped once when I first installed it because I didn't tighten it enough but just make sure there are about two threads coming out of the side of the stem. I have never greased it (except for the head of the bolt when I left it out in the rain) and it has been fine for 1 1/2 years. Great product Odyssey Posted by: Piers at June 29, 2007 04:14 PMmaybe because you didnt buy an "elEmentary" stem. kust kidding, my s3 stem is nice. Posted by: kirk at June 30, 2007 09:56 PMthe s3 is a nice stem one of the peoples i ride with has one Posted by: jross at July 1, 2007 07:40 PMi got a limited etched redneck xlt it's probably one of the best looking parts on my bike Posted by: belnapp at July 1, 2007 08:15 PMlike the infrno and the ice? cool=) Posted by: jross at July 2, 2007 09:20 AMno i'm talkin about the ones with the shield etched into the cap but the inferno and ices are sweet too Posted by: belnapp at July 2, 2007 03:25 PMi have never heard of that one before sounds preaty sick though. Posted by: jross at July 3, 2007 09:18 AMfuck you odyssey its not my fault s&m makes a way better stem then you so shove your stuff up your hairy vagina GROW SOME BALLS RIDE S&M make my day jew Posted by: nopobmxer01 at July 3, 2007 10:44 AMWhat a fag ! Odyssey is inovative, and shickkk. hey fuck you natoe s&m rednecks are better and i will argue till the day i die so fuck you you probly had a dick in your ass when you wrote that you little dick suck Posted by: ihateodyssey at July 4, 2007 11:32 AMfuck odyssey stem get an s&m, simple. looks better Posted by: dec at July 4, 2007 11:56 AMbullshit, I've had 3 elementaries now (on warranty) and none would stop slipping, all lubed up and tightened with a massive allen key (im a shop mechanic). Don't buy one if you don't enjoy finding the bars in your lap when you boost a big set. Wombolts on the other hand have been sweet. Posted by: trails dude at July 5, 2007 06:18 AMAnyone reading this blog will surely realize the only people who dislike the Elementary are hopelessly brain dead. Posted by: Guyroy at July 6, 2007 02:29 PMfuck you guyroy you suck as does the elementary jerk Posted by: ihateodyssey at July 6, 2007 10:33 PMAw. How cute. Posted by: Guyroy at July 7, 2007 03:35 AMAnyone who has had problems with the elementary is retarded. Plain and simple. Easy to install *as long as you can read*, innovative, and clamps forever. Posted by: adam at July 7, 2007 06:47 PMwell i can read and dial a bike to but it is impossible to do that with an elementary adam Posted by: ihateodyssey at July 7, 2007 08:43 PM"well i can read and dial a bike to but it is impossible to do that with an elementary adam" Now we KNOW you have no idea what you are talking about. Posted by: Guyroy at July 8, 2007 12:01 AMI'm not trying to be a dick. But working at a bike shop, I have put hundreds of elementary stems on. All of the bikes left my shop dialed as hell. Most of the stems that I was replacing were S&M's because the damn fork bolts strip out. Now i love S&M just as much as anyone because of their heritage and kickass frames but Odyssey has the best warranty in the business and the most innovative parts out. The new fork they are working on is amazing its an old idea with new light shed on it. Oh did the redneck get any awards for unique design? No. If you want solid, light , reliable parts I don't see why you hate them so much. Maybe you are one of those people that had something break and you didn't warranty it. Believe me I know those people, I was one. I had one of the first elementary stems and it had it's fair share of problems, but that was partly my fault for the greasing and shit. I finally sent it back I have a v2 now. No problems. Posted by: adam at July 8, 2007 09:35 AMto all you brain washed people.......with this garantee thing. primo dont offer warantee and still do lfetime warrantee had my hollow bite since they forst came out and they gave my brand new one no questions asked. primo make better parts than odyssey kirk. How many primo cranks have you heard breaking whereas odyssey has factory loads broken cranks thanks to you guys that are brain washed into the Lifetime Warantee bullCrap. im not saying the design is not good ive had 3 but my last one really sucked so i went to an og redneck and you will never get stronger than that no way and now i ride an s3 and its moved like once only cuz i turned my bike into a projectile 20 feet in the air so who cares s&m needs no award to know they make the most copied stem OF ALL TIME!!!!! Posted by: ihateodyssey at July 8, 2007 03:25 PM"to all you brain washed people.......with this garantee thing. primo dont offer warantee and still do lfetime warrantee had my hollow bite since they forst came out and they gave my brand new one no questions asked. primo make better parts than odyssey kirk. Haha, copy and pasting your post from another blog, priveless. Good thing you got owned in the other blog entry. I won't bother you here. ;) Posted by: Guyroy at July 8, 2007 03:54 PMyou know wat guyroy you really need to stop startin stuff with other commentors awww i guess odsy needs someone to back them up cuz they cant awwwwww how cute go sucka dick guyroy Posted by: ihateodyssey at July 8, 2007 10:04 PMAll I'm saying is you don't have to hate man appreciate it for what it is. Maybe it's not for you, that doesn't mean it can't be for other people. The redneck is the most copied stem in bmx; but i can think of a company who didn't... I think we all know i mean Odyssey. I give credit to S&M and the contributions but they aren't doing a damn progressive thing anymore. If you want to "kick it old school" with shit you know works then do it; that way you wont complain when something breaks that you never tried. P.S. I am not trying to "start shit" I just want everyone to look at all this with an open mind. Posted by: adam at July 8, 2007 10:20 PM"you know wat guyroy you really need to stop startin stuff with other commentors awww i guess odsy needs someone to back them up cuz they cant awwwwww how cute go sucka dick guyroy" I'll start whatever I want. I'll also finish whatever I want whenever I want. That being said, I've done more than my share to piss Odyssey off by calling them out on their Wombolts, so I'm not some mindless "pro odyssey" fan boy. As for you ihateodyssey... I'm done with you in this blog. Odyssey made this blog to educate people, and all you've contributed to it is mind-numbing stupidity. This is me finishing, if you had any intelligence you'd finish too. Bye. :) Posted by: Guyroy at July 8, 2007 10:26 PM |
