i know this sounds like a dumb question for such wide bars but think those can be cut to 24 without the grip being on the bend toooo much?

Posted by: brett at November 1, 2006 05:36 PM

Holy smokes. Nice.

Odyssey or not, you can't compete with Slams.

Posted by: Trail soldier at November 2, 2006 06:32 AM

i believe too tall for only 1 degree upsweep should have went with 2 or 3

Posted by: Tyler at November 2, 2006 06:50 AM

Yeah man, Svelte 7.75 is perfect! but then some time ago I wanted some slam race bar's at 8". So now you drop these killer Lumberjack bar's!! I tell you man F$#KING ODYSSEY!!!

Posted by: odyssey rider at November 2, 2006 07:59 AM

Ah, jumping on the big bar bandwagon eh? Oh well, at least big bars make a few tricks look more dramatic/better. (but limits the possibility of others)

CW Pro Bars (I owned a chrome one).

civilian svelte hi's are the shit. i want no other bars. especially gigantic 8.25" bars. this is probably the first thing you guys have made that i don't like. since when does oddy follow trends?

Posted by: Michael at November 2, 2006 02:38 PM

Michael,

We have no plans to discontinue the Civilian line of handlebars. This is just an additional option. We decided to make them since they're slightly taller than what's readily available, and because a lot of our friends and team riders that like taller bars were excited about them.

taller bars terrible one 00b 8.5 inches of rise im 6,6 so i need big bars i find them a tad too heavy so im going to get some tall but lighter bars so the lumberjacks

Posted by: danjoly at November 2, 2006 07:54 PM

Hey Chris are Ben's bar cut at all? Will I be able to get these things down to 26.5"-27" without my levers being on the bend? The cross bar looks huge compared to the rest of the bar.

Posted by: tyler at November 2, 2006 08:42 PM

can u guys make a slimmer version on this bar? cause i like a bar with around an 8'' side but i like them to be real slim, im runnin the eastern atoms right now cause they are the only bars that come that way but i dont exactly like them too much, there a little heavy and there not odyssey so im on the lookout for a better bar.

Posted by: dan at November 3, 2006 04:00 AM

i tired of all the slam copys

Posted by: r-itchie at November 3, 2006 07:05 AM

Ben's bars (in the photo) are cut down to 26".

Gary Young's updated bar is 7.75" with a much more narrow area towards the stem.

I fail to see how an 8-1/4" bar is a "Slam copy", when Slams are obviously 8".

Posted by: Chris from Odyssey at November 3, 2006 08:57 AM

The original Slams were 8-1/4" tall which are hard to get ahold of. So im psyched for these to come out.

Posted by: BH at November 3, 2006 04:57 PM

I liked the vet bars. I still have mine. Why did you guys stop making them? They were mint.

Posted by: IrkedCitizen at November 3, 2006 10:00 PM

yeah i like this bars very much, because are there the tallest !!!!
