Posted by: Anthony at May 25, 2006 08:34 PMhow did you lace the wheel it like that Posted by: scotty at May 25, 2006 09:15 PMis there an advantage to having a thinner front tire? or is it just preference? For the longest time I ran the typical big knobby style front tire. After a while I noticed I was no longer riding trails and primarily was riding parks and street. With some hesitation I changed out the tire and I couldn't believe how fast and smooth my bike was with the smaller front tire. I have stuck with it for years since then. I guess the long short answer is def. personal preference, but I noticed that my bike was faster and smoother. The smaller tire pumped up real hard also decreased the amount of front tire washout and give when doing front-end tricks. I get alot more grip. I switched from a 1.95 to a 2.25. only .3 inches different, but it greatly improved all of my riding. Posted by: Joe at May 26, 2006 08:20 AMdope.....lookin forward to a complete Gsport wheel when the spokes are out!!! Posted by: aite at May 26, 2006 08:27 AMsickk i like the way they look looks kinda like an ACS RL Edge rim.. the color, that is... Posted by: bleah at May 27, 2006 11:04 AMhow did you lace the wheel up like that? Building the wheel with all the spokes in was quite difficult with a standard rim. The amount of tension you have to put on the spokes while building is pretty high since you have the spokes crossing over one another and they tend to want to push in towards the center of the hub. When I built the wheel up with the G sport rim it was a lot easier. Since the spokes have to cross to the opposite side of the rim this works with the natural path the spokes wanted to run. The build pattern is no different than the usual build pattern and the spokes are at the standard recommended length. Posted by: ben at May 31, 2006 11:24 PM |
