Horray!

I'm going to have all ody wheels! Are theses on stock wheels?

Posted by: Joe B. at November 29, 2005 07:41 PM

These are not the stock spokes that come on the wheelsets. They are an aftermarket upgrade, too expensive for a complete wheelset.

Posted by: Jim B at November 29, 2005 08:00 PM

those are pretty nifty

Posted by: red rocket at November 29, 2005 09:03 PM

Advantages?

Better material than most other spokes available.

Posted by: Jim B at November 29, 2005 09:29 PM

better than dt swiss spokes?

Posted by: joe at November 29, 2005 09:31 PM

Are they priced the same as Marwi or more towards DTs

Tell Jimmy LeVan if he'll change his brake pads to some salmon color pads he won't rub the finish off his red duralectras. I've been using the Kool-Stop eagle claw II pads for about 8 months now and my red duralectra rims are still in perfect condition.

Hey Jim B. what size for a midway to a odsy cass 4x at 48? and it's not the 2005 cass.

Posted by: biker for 3yrs at November 30, 2005 05:54 AM

How are they compaired to DT Swiss? Be honest now...

Posted by: bmxpunkr at November 30, 2005 01:37 PM

184mm - 48 / 4 cross Midway/Hazard Cassette

Posted by: Jim B at November 30, 2005 05:17 PM

Honestly I can't say for certain that these are "better" than DT Swiss because they don't publish thier grade of stainless steel(neither do we) so another company can't just come by and copy it. If they use the same grade of material, the spokes should be "similar". If they don't, ours are "better".

What I can tell you is that we chose the BEST material we could find for these spokes, and we will stand behind them like we do for anything else we make. The price should be very similar to, if not less than, DT.

Also, we do BMX, DT does Road, Mtb and wheelchairs.
You decide.

Posted by: Jim B at November 30, 2005 05:57 PM

why dont you guys at Oddyssey put that chart somewhere on the site so people can use it to see what spoke sizes they need. its no good on the package if your ordering from a mailorder company.

Posted by: Marc at November 30, 2005 07:12 PM

The spoke chart is up.

Posted by: Jim B at November 30, 2005 07:37 PM

Hey Jim B. I'm about to purchase the vandero race for my front midway what size spokes would i need? cus' the chart only points out the vandero front, and don't worry I Don't run peg's that's why ama get rid of the bulky primopro front. OH! 3x/36

Posted by: biker for 3 yrs at November 30, 2005 08:08 PM

Will the new Gsport ribcage rims be as strong as the Midway?

Posted by: Heng at November 30, 2005 09:23 PM

Heng, The only rim that is stronger than the Midway would be the heavy Alex or Big City go to www.bmx-test.com and you'll find your answer there.

Posted by: BIKERONODYSSEY at November 30, 2005 09:52 PM

Big city 23.4oz., Alex Supra E 30oz., Primo Hula Hoop 20.7oz., Midway 20.1oz. give or take a.

Posted by: BIKERONODYSSEY at November 30, 2005 09:56 PM

Its hard to say.

The Midway is all over thicker, But the Ribcage is wider, and has thicker walls, and has the cross-spoke lace pattern. It depends pn how you damage your rim.

Posted by: Jim B at November 30, 2005 10:01 PM

the worst spokes ive ever laced up are dt swiss so if these are comparable strength wise AND lace up a treat, youre onto a winner

Posted by: homer at November 30, 2005 11:22 PM

you guys should do different colors like primo! I've heard from some people that the new primo spokes look nice but arent very tough... It would be great to find a colorful and strong spoke, you guys could do it!

Posted by: brett at December 1, 2005 04:53 PM

Anodized colored spokes would be better than cheezy painted colors. Especially a dark red like my dura. I heard you guys might make a "rea-tree" pattern duralectra, is this true?

Posted by: MONK at December 2, 2005 12:35 PM

Hey Odyssey, Can you post where can I purchase the G.I. stem in or around the San Diego area also the weight of this stem isn't posted and I want to upgrade to a longer stem. THANKS!

Posted by: Biker for 3yrs at December 2, 2005 06:14 PM

Posted by: kkkkkkkkk at December 3, 2005 06:21 PM

Posted by: John at December 3, 2005 07:21 PM

Posted by: steven at December 6, 2005 01:00 AM
