Because Dans weights aren't always right.

They don't make complete bikes b/c they would loose money from the companies that they sell parts too...like there 13th freewheel, so many bike companys use that on there completes, and if Odyssey made a complete bike, it would be competition for the othere complete bike companies, thus loosing their business...

Plus there's no where to improve upon headsets or chains...or is there?

Theres plently of room to improve on chains and headsets. Thats the two parts i break most. Chains SUCK. Headsets are ok... but they still die...

get a frame with an intergrated headset... kiss your headset problems goodbye(as long as you put it on right)

im really feelin the new shadow chain, i think that the o.g. shadow chain is total crap as it busted on me 15 times. but the new shadow chain has been holding up pretty dope. chain grinds and everything.

i am not on up on here trying to hype up other bike co's
hands down odyssey is the dope company and their parts prove it! but, im over all the complains and am just givin out what has been working for me.

so whats the weight on the new forks? and the weight on the old ones?

hey why did you erase the devil post that was funny and the i tell you man post you should let us post our mind you always delete good or funny posts and were getting fed up with it keep it up and we'll go primo or animal on your asses and we spend thousands on your part's every year and you know change is good so think about it! and were not lying about the money we spend on odyssey we know your part's are the best but to tell you the truth we just don't care about what we buy in the future as long as our bikes are top notch we won't care if it say's wtp or animal or well you get the jist of it. and i'm not doing this to be mean.

This is an Odyssey Forum.
We have it here to help riders who want information, help, questions answered, oe anything else. I will delete anything that I deem unfit for our site. Cursing, Defamation, Yelling, inter-poster fights, etc. If people cannot write intelligently and reasonably I have no problem deleting a post that makes navigating through this forum a pain.

Also, I am combatting spam on a daily basis. I have to delete hundreds of spam posts, in addition to the spam that my anti-spam program catches. If you feel like your post was deleted by mistake, please feel free to post it again. Sometimes the spam program, and myself will delete posts that look like spam. (ie, random quotes that have nothing to do with the post, or bikes, or bmx.)

I thank everbody out there who participates in this message board who make it an interesting and intellegent place to converse.

thanks, iwas thinking on getting the new race fork but i think i going to stick to my old race fork for a while

just got back from the bike shop and iwas looking at all the rims and there was hula hoops, haz lites, midways, duras, 7ks all kinds of alex and sun rims! so i purchased the big city's and it felt good not to buy an odyssey part it feel's a little weird but i can get use to it the big city's are really wide and the shopkeep told me those are one of the best rim's ever made so i'm in a win win mode cool!

Its sad that you have to down grade your bike because your pride was hurt because jim deleted your stupid posts. You are the one that really loses out.

hey zep, i've been buying odyssey for the better part, over three year's since my son started getting into bike's and i've been trying to buy odyssey for him, so he say's cool but he'd rather have big city's mosh and primo part's and of course odyssey as well so i think you should forget about my pride and worry about your son if you have one and if you don't pray to god he give's you one! cus it's the best feeling in the world when i'm on my bike and my 14 yr old is next to me throwing down cus' he chose to be a biker and there is where my pride is!! you have a good day.

I believe what Zep was referring to, is why you would come onto the odyssey site and let them know that you didn't purchase their parts and that it feels good not to purchase their parts. Just seems kind of odd and spiteful. I mean I don't have all odyssey parts on my bike, but I don't email them to say "these parts are better than yours." If you have something to say to Odyssey regarding their parts in a constructive manor, I'm sure the crew there would love feedback. But nobody likes pointless statements.

Especially with the two exclaimation points after them. The reason I care is because I read this daily to find out about new parts, updates, information that helps me and my riding. I don't really care whether you got new rims for your son and you're really proud of it. I'm glad that Odyssey deleted your post that were "funny" I wish they would have deleated your post on your new rims. It has no context to this forum and it wastes my time.
