Sick bike yo! dope as hell

Posted by: jason at October 7, 2005 06:19 PM

hey 30/10 gear ratio.... thats what i am running.
those cranks look nuts. i was curious if the frame had a mid or espanol bottom bracket. does the macneil ploy-bearing bottom bracket work with those new cranks or did macneil start making mid instead.
i cant wait to get my hand on that m2 lever, Ayo! what kind of brake pads are those?

Posted by: 3MTA3/pokertron at October 7, 2005 06:30 PM

*gasp*
he got rid of his dirtbros sprocket? this makes me sad

other then that, its super nice

Posted by: Ian at October 7, 2005 08:25 PM

very nice indeed those bars are called gary young bars are these going to come out if so could we have a sneak peak on the specs? also hes running duralectras he rides trails too so doesnt that mean the muck gets into the rims and if so the paint is in tact how come because i am thinking of running a duralectra and am wondering how easy the black comes off. thanks ed

Posted by: ed at October 7, 2005 10:43 PM

As a word of advice if you get the duralectra, don't use the generic odyssey brake pads on it. I learned the hard way, and began eating throught the coating within the first couple of weeks. I changed out my pads with some mosh pads, so the eating away of the black has slowed dramatically.
I saw Gary with that frame over the summer for the Dew action sports tour. Looks pretty sweet.

Posted by: brewsky at October 7, 2005 11:20 PM

thats a pretty sweet ride

Posted by: Adam at October 8, 2005 12:20 AM

the sproket looks kinda wierd but if it does its job then im cool with it.

Posted by: Lucas at October 8, 2005 04:23 AM

Gary is the man, all the parts are kick ass...it just doesn't seem to click with me....

Posted by: Brad at October 8, 2005 06:21 AM

I figured out what it is....its the sprocket and the seat that does it....

Posted by: Brad at October 8, 2005 06:23 AM

ONE WORD...

DISGUSTING. :)

Posted by: Joshie at October 9, 2005 01:14 AM

Thats a cool bike, but whats the point in running a duralectra in the front?

Posted by: Nick at October 9, 2005 03:06 AM

^^^if you got them free, you would see the point

Posted by: brock at October 9, 2005 07:07 AM

hey Gary , how is that elementary stem working for you?

Posted by: cm08 at October 9, 2005 04:18 PM

Gary has been running the elementary stem since it has been available, maybe even a bit before that too from production samples, so i would say it is doing well for him.

Posted by: Nuno/Odyssey at October 9, 2005 06:04 PM

if you fuckers knew how to read then you'd know it said 36 hole 7ka in the front im a hungy nigga im a im a hungry nigga

Posted by: bmx at October 9, 2005 07:25 PM

when can we expect to be able to buy Gary's signature frame? (i know it's made by macniel, but they wont respond)

Posted by: Willy at October 9, 2005 08:48 PM

i liked his dirt bros frame more. dirt bros is going to shit. : (((

Posted by: darren at October 9, 2005 10:04 PM

This one time at a triple crown in 2003 Gary got me a Mt. Dew cause there was no bottles of water left and then 2 moths later i broke my leg. CARBONATION KILLS!

Posted by: Braxton at October 10, 2005 05:16 PM

It says he has a chrome 7ka rim on the back and a duralectra on the front. You can see the front is duralectra because of the blue sticker and the rear rim is too shiney for duralectra so it must be chrome. I just thought i should set it straight.

Posted by: drib at October 10, 2005 05:40 PM

has anyone noticed that the seat tube gusset looks ALOT like the ruben barcode ive got a ruben so i mite notice it abit more ?? and how could he dump the DBI Sprocket !!! theres a few bits i like and dont like he should be running the Macneil hubs deffo hes a macneil rider so whats wrong with running the hubs on 7ka-s ?? and the macneil O.G Seat is AWWWWFULL change that lol !! and the bash sprocket theres nought wrong with them, it just look abit big for the size he has it in not a bad bike thow...
