i think that the odyssey hubs need work all my friends have bent the shells and they skip

Posted by: Fit series s21 at July 10, 2005 08:37 PM

odyssey builds the best stuff but their hubs

Posted by: Fit series s21 at July 10, 2005 08:42 PM

your friends bending hubs/hub flanges cud be a few things that ARENT odysseys fault. MAybe u and yr friends are trying stupid stuff like coping double peglesses like mike aitken or something. Maybe u and your friends are fat and run super lightweight bikes. That would usually tend to make a hub bend.MAybe ur runing 3/8 front axles and shud have 14mm. reasons being, ive had odyssey hubs for 3 years and i literally beat the shit out of them and theyre the strongest smoothest hubs ive ever owned

Posted by: pete at July 11, 2005 09:57 PM

me and my friends are the smoothest people and no we dont try pegless double pegs or any shit like that and i way a 150 pounds you fag im not saying there not bad hubs but im just saying they need some work i have had 2 and my friends have had 4

Posted by: Fit series s21 at July 14, 2005 11:03 AM

may only complaint is that the old version with the 3 pawls skips every once in a while. but i don't know about the 05 version with the 4 pawls. i guess the extra pawl was meant to correct that.

I have a Hazard cassette hub in LHD and it is working out great so far. I ride every day and it's still holdin up. Oh and how about you guys send me that wheelset while your at it. peace

Posted by: Red Rocket at July 20, 2005 05:03 PM

i have a 3 pawl lhd cassette and have broke two axles in one month, all my friends tell me im pretty smooth too. i think its because of the axle cone spacer deal, it breaks in the same place. it also skips quite a bit also. im gunna tru out a new four pawl one though, hopefuly there wont be these issues with it
