Elementary wins Award

Pinchy cover

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE:

Elementary Stem Wins International Design Competition

The Odyssey Elementary Stem has been awarded with a "Design Distinction" prize in the Equipment Category of I.D. Magazine's 2005 Annual Design Review issue. The stem was one of 150 winners that was recognized from a field of approximately 2000 submissions, and shares the pages with entries from Nike, Apple Computer, Adidas, BMW, Jet Blue, Burton Snowboards and more. The July/August 2005 issue of I.D. is on shelves at major book sellers now.

From I.D. Magazine:

"Since 1954, the Annual Design Review has recognized the best in product, furniture, graphic and environment design, from the iconic to the obscure. Throughout the years, this annual showcase has chronicled the evolution of design, and highlighted its impact on our material and visual culture.

Each year, the featured work is chosen by a jury of leading practitioners, who, along with I.D.'s editorial team, focus the abundance of submissions into a clear survey of the state of design. The resulting overview is published in the July/August issue of I.D. magazine — the Annual Design Review issue."

SAVE CATTY

If any of you guys have ever ridden trails in PA, then you know how amazing they are. The popular "NAM" trails were plowed a little while back, and now "CATTY", the new spot that the Nam locals have been building are at risk of being plowed also.

Go here http://www.sickethenyou.com/ and click on "SAVE CATTY WOODS" and sign the petition to help save the trails.

BMX needs you. Now is the time to step up.

Brandon Turner/Vermont

Brandon Turner scored the cover of Plus this month with a mean turndown in the northwest. There is also a mini bio and a nice 2 page pocket air shot that looks wildly similar to the Vermont sprocket ad that also featured Brandon.

Speaking of Vermont sprockets, due to popular demand, we now have them in 25 tooth. They will be shipping out this week.

Updates

Head on over to http://www.fitbikeco.com/home.html for some footage of Mike Aitken.

Coincidentally, Aitken is tentatively slated to drive the Odyssey car in the Kink demolition derby.

Matt Beringer and Gary Young will also be there on behalf of other companies.

Watch out.

DERBY

View image

The KINK crew was kind enough to set up a Demolition derby for the BMX community to get together and crash into each other. Looks and sounds like fun.

Odyssey is already signed up. More info soon.

Newest Intac

New ish

We are constantly trying to improve all of our parts, and the INTAC is one that has gone through a lot of changes. New guts, One Piece post, and now the newest mod..shorter. It may not seem like a big deal but we figured 99% of the riders weren't using the super long post we were providing. If some of you don't need to bust out the hacksaw, it was worth it. These are from our newest shipment, which are already at distributors/shops.
