Hard Anodized Wheels

all black

The Hazard Cassette wheelset has only come with black hubs/spokes and a chrome rim, until now. An all black wheel? No, we are not the first, but we wouldn't offer a built wheel with anything less than the best we can do, for a price you can afford. With the vast improvment in braking and wear of the Hard Anodized rim vs. regular black anodize, we are now able to offer an All Black wheel we can be stand behind.

2005 Hazard Cassette wheel set is the 2005 hub, which is improved over last years model and all the poser hubs out there, with either Chrome or Hard Black Hazard Lite rims. You can't buy a better built wheel (or find as good a price for that matter).

These wheels will start shipping soon, so contact your favorite shop or mailorder in case you want one.

Posted by: paul at May 5, 2005 10:22 PM

is the finish gonna be duralectra or some other kind of anodizing process?

Posted by: courtney at May 5, 2005 11:17 PM

Odyssey doesn't use generic Primo spokes. They are not DT quality, but they're not generic either.

So there is a hard anodized hazard lite?? That is sick...when wioll it be available for individual sale??

Posted by: mark at May 6, 2005 08:36 AM

Is there a warrantee on them duralectra rims ? i bought a custom wheelset from albes with the duralectra rims and the back rim's anodize came off within the first month. I been riding it for 4 months ,it still brakes good. But the purpose of the rim was to stay back(not forever, but at least longer than a month), . I'm a big fan of the odyssey brand, thats all i buy prety much , but i'm really dissapointed with the rim. Not mensioning i spend 170$ for 2 of them.

Chris- I think G-Sport Stuff will be in oz in winter

Posted by: Mitch at May 6, 2005 10:09 AM

The spokes are not generic spokes, they are the same quality as the ones we have been offering in wheels for a few years.

Odyssey and GSPORT spokes sets are in the works right now.

The Hard Black Anodize is on all new Seven K-A, Midway and Hazard lites now. It is not Duralectra unless it says that specifically(only available as loose rims).

Dave Campo, if you think you have warranty issues, email nunoo@odysseybmx.com

Mr. Jim I must ask you why are you demolishing the weight of all your products. Why am I not able to find any Jim Beams anymore?

Posted by: FATGUY at May 6, 2005 12:59 PM

I've been waiting for something like this to come out. Good job...

Posted by: pat ellis at May 6, 2005 01:00 PM

It was hard to see it go, but the Jim's Beam is gone.
It is over built for most applications, so we stopped making it. But that was very recently, there should still be some out there.

If you can make your bike lighter, while keeping it strong, it makes your riding more efficient, you can ride longer and have more fun.

How much would you predict for Homers in Aus?

I just noticed the SKAVENGER site too.

Posted by: rob at May 7, 2005 09:46 AM

or Marmosets in Canada

Posted by: dom at May 8, 2005 03:04 AM

its just regular black rims on the wheelset. can u still get the back in chrome?

Posted by: jimbo at May 8, 2005 11:29 AM

I wish they had that option when I bought my wheelset. cool look, but I want to see some blue and red and gold rims. Different anodize colors like they had in the eighties. I think it would be cool. especially gold. A black frame with black forks and bars, with gold components. It would look like an Old SE Trans Am. I think it would kick ass. Well, I did just get my income tax check, I think I am going to go looking for some stuff like that.

when you said g sport stuff will be availiable in australia in winter did you mean your our winter (junish) or your winter (decemberish)
