Posted by: shutta at March 28, 2005 09:26 PM

Adam: i like your bike, i actually wanted to that other frame..i believe it's the same. only in 2.25 contemplating buying that or giving Goerge from Gsport a call to do acustom frame thing with his buddy's. the eastern looks real nice. congrat's on the Eastern position!

Jim:modulever's are good but that MX22 is the future, any word on a release date there Jim? making the cable's in some color's would be a seriously sick shing dig. like the slic cables. using knarp's is a pain in the ass unless i learn how to use it. hahaha. Late!

Posted by: Kalani G. at March 28, 2005 09:40 PM

Hey Kalanl G. Thanks ! Glad you like the ride. I just got to ride it for the first time today and it's dope. You should get one too! I feel lucky to be on Eastern, as with all my sponsors. And it's a Meshstash!

Posted by: Adam Banton at March 28, 2005 11:29 PM

Nice, what's the weight on this baby?

Posted by: Le Tigre at March 28, 2005 11:40 PM

the seat stays look really thi for some reason is it the pic or the frame?

Posted by: steven at March 29, 2005 02:11 AM

dude Eastern is so fucking gay! you should ride for a rider owned company like SOLID! PEACE!

Posted by: morris at March 29, 2005 03:41 AM

morris is GAY! GAY GAY GAY!!!

Posted by: biker on odyssey at March 29, 2005 10:05 AM

nice but the sprocket guard's position is weird...

Posted by: g. at March 29, 2005 11:05 AM

foiur pegs and front brakes. disappointed! 2 pegs and rear brakes only. this is bmx 2005 or is it 1993 I cant tell by looking at the picture. And the mustache...gay!

Posted by: philly street at March 29, 2005 12:26 PM

Philly Street, Nice spelling. If you don't know what year it is, thats your problem. And your right, the mustashe is gay. It's a joke. For anyone else, the frame weights 5.3 oz. And Eastern is owned by two guys who have been riding longer than I've been growing mustaches, who still ride and don't have mustaches. Why do I waste my time on post's like this?
I'm going riding.
P.S.- Solid does rule.

Posted by: Adam Banton at March 29, 2005 01:31 PM

Hey Adam, How is that elementary stem working for you? I want to upgrade from my redneck stem that i've had for a long time now, but only if the new stem can give me the same superior holding power that my current stem has. Also, how did you sneak into the pro superpipe practice? Were those guys going huge or what? thanks.

Posted by: cm08 at March 29, 2005 03:13 PM

a bonton what did you do with the parts from the red one. and can i buy them

Posted by: gary at March 29, 2005 03:46 PM

Gary, I just switched everything onto my Reaper. Same parts. Sorry.

Posted by: Adam Banton at March 29, 2005 04:03 PM

cm08, The Elementary stem holds up great. You do have to have enough steer tube for it to fit right. If not, then you'll need new forks. Don't try and "make" it work. And I would say that stem clamps better than any other stem out there.
I got to ride in Mens Super pipe practice with Jesse Fritch(pro skater) he new all the guys that were riding in the comp, so I came with. We just kinda talked our way in, I guess. Yes people were blasting. It was awesome.

Posted by: Adam Banton at March 29, 2005 04:11 PM

mustache is a correct spelling also.

Posted by: Jim at March 29, 2005 04:25 PM

Adam,

I love your set up. I'm curious about the 2 Eastern frames you've had. The Ascent and Reaper. Do you know what the bottom bracket height is on them because the top tube looks to be super low. Does it feel real low compared to the Tech you used to ride. It's always hard for me to get used to real low slung frames, but I really like those 2 eastern frames. Any info would help.

Thanks,
Dell

Posted by: Dell Anderson at March 29, 2005 06:45 PM

Dell, Thanks. For all the details on the Ascent and Reaper go to www.Easternbikes.com and you'll find everything you need to know about the frames. As far as compared to the Techs bottom bracket height, it feels the same to me.

Posted by: Adam Banton at March 30, 2005 12:27 AM

Hey adam, youve got a sweet bike there. Im glad to see someone besides myself riding with frequency g's. i have the 1.75 and was dissapointed to see that the crosses werent the same as the 1.85, either way they are the best tires ive ridden

Posted by: 515bmx at March 30, 2005 03:44 AM

Frequency G's rule for anything. I like them alot too!

Posted by: gary at March 30, 2005 06:52 PM

Adam: is everything on that MX22 lever kinda like the modulever? the barrel adjuster doesn't look as extended with the thing that goes around the modulever cable, but i do see somewhat that system, my eyes could be decieving me. i like the color. & i liked that ascent you had. wasn't it the model Tod W. designed? is it the same? are the dropout's cut out for the pegs? i'll be swinging by the Oakley HQ in Foothill Branch sometime soon, add me to your email or something so i can give you a holler so me & Kagy have have you for company, i love you! haha!

Jim: where's the love yo???? im desperate to buy that lever :(

Posted by: Kalani G at March 30, 2005 09:17 PM

Dude this bike is rockin hardcore. I mean dude you got hooked on odyssey thats so lucky of you im jealous. Why do you and Cielencki, Dirty Dan ride with 7K-A rims. Im kinda sketchy about them. I have hazard lite and i still feel wierd of how lite it is. I have to remeber that your the GREAT ADAM Banton. I wish i was that good. I will one day Love the facial hair

Posted by: Jake D at March 30, 2005 11:24 PM

someone please tell me y people get the 7ka rim for the front in stead of a SUN rhyno-lite for way cheaper.

Posted by: jimbo at March 31, 2005 12:28 AM

banton, your bike looks real good in that blue

i talked with you about your cd's at the goodtimes contest at the flow, and you seemed like one hell of a guy. did some trickery that made my head spin, i wish i wasn't intimidated of a lever by my left hand or a mustache by my top lip

Posted by: scott at March 31, 2005 01:12 AM

[QUOTE=JIMBO]someone please tell me y people get the 7ka rim for the front in stead of a SUN rhyno-lite for way cheaper.

they are sponsored (if you are referring to the pros) or they woudl rather give odyssey money than sunn because odyssey does good stuff for us and well.. look at what they did with the OG 7K rims, warrantying ALL OF THEM with the 7K-A

why get a subaru STI instead of a dodge neon?

Posted by: shutta at March 31, 2005 11:26 AM

thanks for the info Adam

Posted by: cm08 at March 31, 2005 02:03 PM

NO dude its all kool about sponsers. If i was smooth i would ride 7k-A rims maybe. I wondering no most folks prefer hazards but everone differnt

Posted by: Jake D at March 31, 2005 05:04 PM

The GTX is a piece of shit cause the cable snapped on the Knarp thing on my girlfriend's bike and she landed on her arse while she was doing a fufanu! What a piece of donkey cock! It's a fucking flawed design!

The engineers at Odyssey are cluleess wankers! It doesn't take a human with the brain size of a peanut to figure out that when set screws were manufactured and the threads are rolled there WILL be some sharp protusions at the end of the shit! Not only that, the GTX unit has holes behind the setscrew boss bit resulting in fraying the cables and ultimately failing it!

It doesn't take a chimp with half a brain to figure that one out that it's crap!!!

Fortunately her BMX girlfriend has bigger brains that all you Odyssey wankers and she made a mod that doesn't chew the cables.

I'm going to sue all you asses!!!

also fuck Nuno!!!! He's a cluless mechanically ignorant fuck that doesn't have the BASIC knowledge of BASIC engineering design, he's only Odyssey's fucking e-mail machine that only knows how to answer stupid questions by stupid kids and blabbing Odysseys marketing bollocks of their flawed design products!!!

WANKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chris if you have balls answer me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Posted by: GLASGOW rider at April 1, 2005 04:36 AM

oh yeah Adam Benton rules! Nothing agianstyou really!

I just hate the wanker that designed those stupid KNARPs bit and I hope he dies of a slow painful terrible death .

KNARPS stands for Kable Nibbling And Ragging Piece of SHIT.

Out!

Posted by: Adam Benton Rules at April 1, 2005 04:43 AM

wow, some immature F***s on here lately.. if they talk this bad about odyssey I wonder what they'd say about demolition or primo... anyways, if your g/f had the brain capacity, wouldn't she known not to buy the gtx, and if you weren't a retard woudn't you know you couldn't sue?

why do I even say these things, they just do this to piss people off anyways..

Posted by: big boi at April 1, 2005 01:52 PM

Hey Kalani G.,
The M2 lever is just like the modulever but only smaller. In fact the actually "lever" is the same as I had on my Mono lever set up. I like the M2 set up. It rules. I liked the Ascent too. And Yes it was Todd W. frame, it's just the Team frame now. Go to www.easternbikes.com and check the specs for drop out clearence for the pegs. I never had a problem though. The "Reaper" has super small drop outs, but they fit perfect for pegs. When are you going to Oakley? They make the best snowboard goggles.

Posted by: Adam Banton at April 5, 2005 02:17 PM

Jake D, Man, your too nice. Thanks for the compliments! Honestly, I'm only riding that front rim because it was laying around Odyssey one day when I needed a new front wheel, and I threw it on. I haven't notice any difference since. The facial hair is gone already. (or is it?)

Posted by: Adam Banton at April 5, 2005 02:24 PM

Scott, Hows it going? I remember talking to ya. Thanks for the compliments! I had a great time at that comp. Hope to go again this year. Front brakes are just like mustache's, you'll never get any chics, but there damn fun to have. See ya at Goodtimes!

Posted by: Adam Banton at April 5, 2005 02:30 PM

beat's me when im going. im gonna be in Woodward in July & working my ass off the rest of the summer/year to have enough money to go next year & buy the super sweet products...or...we could make a trade? some flow for some part's i oh-so-desperatedely need? ill send you an email, i got some sick goggles. Puerto Rico represent! haha!

Posted by: Kalani G. at April 5, 2005 08:13 PM

Adam is been good seening you H-Town with you the past couple days the bike looks great. once i pulled your brakes i had to put my evolvers back on so i could get mine to pull just as nice and with the tri flow their perfect. see you around.

Posted by: Tyler at April 6, 2005 03:34 AM

Thanks Tyler, I've had fun riding with you guys too. Lets hook up when I get back. Yes, Evolvers and Tri-Flow are a perfect match, aren't they?

You`re alive. Do something. The directive in life, the moral imperative was so uncomplicated. It could be expressed in single words, not complete sentences. It sounded like this: Look. Listen. Choose. Act.
