Odyssey cranks inherently suck!

Don't buy em. They wobbled after a few months
and I and some of the guys running installed em correctly.

Other than their 41 thermal heat treatment (no idea what this actually is because heat treatment have verying possibilities - what the fuck is this some marketing gimmick conceived by some marketing hack?) they suck monkey balls.
Really. One of the guys snapped em at the pedal boss (ask Runnah).

The end bolts get loose every day like 1" headsets and they can't save they own lives wiythout those smelly nose irritating loctite.

And oh yeah you CAN'T use loctite with a Ti spindle. What a rip off. Of course you get another pair if you 'Profile wobbled' it, but who needs to mess with these inferior designed cranks anyway?

Odyssey is a GREAT company but whoever designed these cranks NEEDS to go back to engineering class Haha!

Mr George French PERSONALLY told me that the 48 splined 'pinchboltless' crank is flawed in designed.
See the contradicting opinion here from one of the best engineers in 20" freestyle - the guy who designed the elementary stem.

If you delete this post then Odyssey is covering up
ye truth and I WILL blag it EVERYWHERE in bmx forums. So put some pinchbolts there or I'll swear I'll post the pics of the snapped odyssey crank EVERYWHERE in bm,x forums. haha!

I really feel like validating a post that is trying to dispute "engineering" with such technical terms as "suck monkey balls". Astounding. How can I dispute your cold hard research, such as, "One of the guys snapped em". I don't doubt that there have been arms broken. The fact if that all parts can break, we just offer such a strong product that we stand behind that fact. We figure the amount that do fail will be so low that we will replace them for you. Most riders can ride our 41 thermal parts for years instead of months or weeks. If you think 41 thermal is a gimmick, please DO NOT BUY ANYTHING that says 41 thermal on it. I am sure you will be more than satisfied to break/bend your fork, bars, seatpost, and cranks often and pay for a new replacement.

i have had the 41thermals since they came out basicly
the only problem i had was them comming loose...but that was my fault because i had the wrong spacer in there...once i switched to a euro with the right space it has yet to wobble or loosen up.
also the sealed pedal bosses have saved me from bending a pedal wrench again. before i had these my pedals would rust in even though i dont ride in the rain or store my bike outside...
but anyway
odyssey stands behind everything and its true
