VERMONT sprocket

Here's a look at our upcoming new sprocket. Some of you may have seen this sprocket unfinished at interbike, but here is a production sample.

Vermont sprocket:

7075 aluminum
28t or 30t only
6mm width
choose from 1 of 5 mounting positions
3.1 ounces (28t)

This is a sneak peek and production is almost under way, therefore these sprockets will not be available until early december. Now you can ask Tom at Empire when these will be available.

2005 Odyssey Cassette

Here is the 2005 Odyssey Cassette Hub.

As you can see, it looks similar to our existing cassette hub, but many improvements have been made.

6061 SHELL WITH ANGLED FLANGES.

LESS MATERIAL TO INTERFERE WITH CONENUTS TO PREVENT "GHOST PEDALING".

14MM HEAT TREATED HOLLOW AXLE WITH ALLEN KEY ENDS.

IMPROVED 7075 BEARING SPACER WITH REINFORCED ENDS.

IMPROVED 4130 AXLE NUTS AND HEAT TREATED 4130 CONENUTS.

IMPROVED 4-PAWL DRIVER FOR QUICKER ENGAGEMENT.

IMPROVED ALUMINUM COG LOCKRING. WRENCH FLATS STYLE, No special tool needed.

4130 REPLACEABLE COGS (12, 13, 14, 16).

HIGH QUALITY JAPANESE BEARINGS (always were)

36 OR 48 HOLE.

AVAILABLE IN BLACK, ANODIZED RED OR ANODIZED GREY.

Designed By Matt Beringer.
Soft, Springy feel.
Similar to Team grip, with more Spring back, and connected ribs to slow wear.
Flangeless like Matt likes em.

NEW PRODUCTS

We received a shipment with some new stuff that you may be interested in:

WHITE Linear Cables- Same cable youve grown to love, now available in white.

Matt Beringer grips- Designed to Matt's specifications. Flangless. Arboc.

Limited Edition Urban Camo parts- Available on Race forks, Dirt forks and Civilian bars. If you missed the Tree camo parts, now's your chance to redeem yourself.

RACE Cassette Hub- Similar to our normal cassette hub, but with a shortened Hollow 3/8's axle, slightly smaller shell and aluminum hardware.

CHROME Midway rims- The chrome counterpart to the Hard anodize version are in. Rim construction inbetween a Hazard and Hazard lite.

UTILITY Light sprocket- 36 and 39 tooth Utility sprockets are now available in a lighter version with the holes machined all the way through (for lightness).

These parts have started shipping to distributors this week, which leaves you plenty of time to start harassing your local shop.

Interbike 2004

Interbike has come and gone.
New stuff, fun times, lame products, good ideas, parties, premiers, etc.
The Elementary Stem went over well. For many it was their first hearing about or seeing it, for some it was the first time to see what they have seen on the internet, in real life.
New for a lot of people was the Reloader freecoaster, Monolevers, Jimmy LeVan grips, Matt Beringer grips, Race Cassette, Race Vandero, and a new sprocket(yet un-named).

Hard Rock was the post-everything, everynight spot. You should have seen it....oh wait. What happens at interbike, stays at interbike.

Gary Young- NORA cup Ramp Rider of the year. Congratulations Gary! Gary was top four street rider of the year also.(Cory Martinez won that) Gary's quote from his speech-(laughing)"have fun, I don't know."
Mike Aitken was in the top four Dirt riders of the year(first going to Cory Bohan, presented by Jimmy LeVan). Mike couldn't been there anyway because he was busy getting Married! Congrats Mike! Pictures from his wedding to come......
