Some Info

With Jim and the rest of the Odyssey team still on a roadtrip through France, here is whats going on here.

The new Monolevers have arrived and are shipping out to distributors as we speak. Small, Medium and Trigger style Monolevers (check archive for photos)will be arriving in better shops and mailorders in the upcoming weeks. i beleive everyone on the team is running some form of Monolever because the calls have started coming in from non team members for one, so im sure these are going to take over.

Also, be sure to check out the upcoming issue of Transworld BMX (with the crazy Ruben cover) for a little Q and A with Gary Young. And while your at it, you can hang up the awesome Odyssey Jim Cielencki/Matt Beringer poster that comes with it.

Enjoy!

1000 years! (30 days?)

"For 15 years, American-made S&M Pitchforks have set the strength and reliability standards by which all other forks are judged..."

Until 1999, when Odyssey introduced the 41-Thermal process. Now, five years later, every company in BMX, including S&M, is pursuing "lightweight" forks and "heat-treated" tubing in hopes of reaching the precedent set by the same company that once brought you products as ridiculous as the Barefeet Tire and the Leading Edge saddle in the mid 1980’s.

Funny ad’s and tired, predictable McGoo babble won’t change the fact that we re-established the standard by which all BMX forks are judged. We know it, and they know it. Unfortunately, accepting that fact appears to be more difficult than riding dressed as old men, while busting one-handed cane shakers in patent leather loafers with 3 foot beards.

41-Thermal products are guaranteed for life because we know how durable they are. We stand behind them with complete confidence because five years of continuous laboratory and real-world testing doesn’t lie. If you ever damage a 41-Thermal product while you’re riding, simply send it back and it will be replaced by one of the easiest, fastest and most reliable product warranty services in BMX.

Go to www.sandmbikes.com to check out their version of a warranty to see who really stands behind their products. Hope you have your receipt...
