Ford reported an increased in sales of 46 percent from last year while Chrysler reported 61 percent. General Motors said sales were up to 10.5 percent this month.A 47 percent boost on sales was reported by Subaru while Volkswagen reported 15 percent. Other automakers are scheduled to release sales results by the upcoming days.Sales of Ford utility vehicles raised 63 percent as orders for the redesigned Ford Edge crossover vehicle nearly tripled whereas sales of 10 Chrysler models, including the 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee, rose 95 percent from September 2009.
