Our latest Senior 2 saddles feature authentic Mexican blanket fabric and are available in railed and Pivotal versions. Each saddle is unique with its own randomized colorway and pattern so no two saddles are ever identical.*

Railed versions are built with 7mm hollow rails and the Pivotal version features our unique, reinforced Pivotal base design. They're stronger than your average Pivotal and hidden underneath the padding is a stripped, black, plastic saddle, already decorated with a clean design. Brand new or stripped to its core, all of our Pivotals will keep your bike looking fresh.

*In the unlikely event two saddle owners cross paths with identical seats, the two said saddle owners shall partake in a jovial celebration of high-fives and a dance around a sombrero. The development of a secret handshake between the two owners isn't mandatory but it is highly recommended.

I already have a seat in perfect condition, but these things look rad!

Is the fabric actually genuinely from Mexico? If so, where is the final assembly of your saddles done? QBP says your saddles come from Taiwan.

I am obviously blowing this way out of proportion and am extremely gullible.

  • Jim ( April 8th, 2009 at 1:38 pm ):

We actually got the material here in So cal and shipped to Taiwan for manufacturing. It could have originally come from Mexico, but the Mexican Blanket name really refers to the style/colors/knit of the material.

    DRUG RUG seats!

  • bikedog ( April 8th, 2009 at 5:06 pm ):

i saw these at interbike; it only took 7 months so that’s not too bad considering.

so it seems like it’s better if you don’t say when you’re releasing stuff, that way there aren’t a bunch of people asking for stuff that isn’t finished yet. take this release as an example. cheers odsy.

So, are they out? If not, when. I don’t care about the price, I just want one.

    Bike Dog-

You would think it would be easier to make this seat, but it did take a long time. The original samples were made from a Mexican blanket I bought in downtown LA. We thought it would be easier for our seat maker to get the material. It wasn’t. After many failed attempts, we just got some and sent it to them. It took forever, so sorry about that. If you would like to see what happens when you rush things, check the companies who also saw our seats at interbike and their copies. Not too nice. I agree, showing things to early is bad, but sometimes you just get stuck with unexpected delays.

    Nick Brema-

The one draw back/advantage is you don’t get to choose the color you get. Its part of the character. If your shop orders a few, you can choose in person. Maybe people will trade seats with others, that could be cool too. Sorry for the long answer, there is no way to pick the exact seat cover, from us.

  • Sanmanderson ( April 9th, 2009 at 8:29 pm ):

so are these in stores now?

  • nick brema ( April 12th, 2009 at 9:47 pm ):

    thanks for the reply

  • bikedog ( April 13th, 2009 at 12:04 pm ):

thanks for the response Jim, you’ve been awsome. too bad i didn’t talk to you last interbike. I was saying the time it took from interbike to now, considering the amount of work i had already assumed it would take to get mass quantities made, it was pretty quick. good work.
i’ve seen quite a few custom odsy wheels put together lately too so great job on that also.

  • zane ( April 15th, 2009 at 5:58 pm ):

  • Uriah ( May 1st, 2009 at 2:40 pm ):

i like them but i can’t take a risk in spending money and not getting the color that i want. really there should be color categories to choose from going by the all over color. send an email to me if it is possible to get a seat that is mostly purple. i would dig it!

  • Jarod ( June 4th, 2009 at 9:42 pm ):

i love these seats and even if i get a colour i don’t like. i can just strip it. very stoked i’m buying one this week, my friends tell me to cuz i’m mexican haaha
