» G-Sport Rollcage

The new G-Sport Rollcage rim is shipping now. What’s a Rollcage? It’s a more affordable version of the Ribcage. How’d we get a lower price? Well, the Rollcage uses standard 6061-T6 aluminum instead of the Ribcage’s proprietary grade, and the Rollcage also goes without the Ribcage’s outermost reinforcing ribs for the spoke nipples – a feature that requires greater precision when it comes to drilling the spoke holes.
The Rollcage makes use of the Ribcage’s proven cross-lacing for improved durability and stronger wheel builds, and also incorporates a similar cross-sectional design that has been narrowed down to 34mm’s. Additionally, this section-shape utilizes thick 2.1mm sidewalls for impact resistance. You’ll be able to tell the Rollcage “by eye” because it has a groove that runs along the center of the rim.
The Rollcage is available now in hard-anodized black or chrome, 36 or 48-H, with a weight of approximately 455g. The rim’s ERD is 390.
We’ve had test riders on the Rollcage rim exclusively for over a year now, and it has proven itself time and again. We’re confident that you’ll appreciate it as much as we have.

Super light, at 16oz! Its a G-Sport version of a Rhyno Lite!
thats a rim i think i might get before i get a hazzard lite. chrome o yeaaaaaa
Damn, where are the Gsport spokes?
I hate to be swinging on the nuts of odyssey most of the time for good product design, but I might as well keep on swinging with this one. My guess is that the only downfall in the near future will be the new JC pedals. (too many parts to keep track of)

Thanks
yea nice rim it will be looking better if you would have it in blue ,red, white or yellow or neon pink and build some nice front wheel with some 14mm hallow hub so i wount brake my front axle in half again like my 3/8 vandaro
looks sweet is it better than my old ribcage rims tho
when is this available
“The Rollcage makes use of the Ribcage’s proven cross-lacing for improved durability and stronger wheel builds” what does the cross lacing do?
if they where a cheap rim alot of people would buy them as a first choice preferance and there for g-sport would be getting alot of money if there a prooven rim and is going to stay cheap plus if they make a limited edition run of colours like the hazzard lites that would attract people to buying them i know if this happened i would BUY them although a price of like 70 AUD would be suprizingly cheap..
the coaster has about a year left before it comes out “Rossi89″… you guys could just email George for all of your questions… you know that right?

If these are suppose to be ‘a more affordable version of the Ribcage’ then why do they still cost the same price as the Ribcage rim in most shops and mailorders?
