That is quite possibly the perfect setup.

  • john ( June 26th, 2008 at 4:05 pm ):

    ^ i agree

will g-sport sell complete back wheels with the ratchet and new spokes and nipples?

  • pedro ( June 26th, 2008 at 4:46 pm ):

my bike is waiting for a back gsport hub to match to the front one!!!

  • Russ ( June 26th, 2008 at 8:12 pm ):

No Odyssey grips????? FIRE HIM IMMEDIATELY!!!

  • Nate ( June 26th, 2008 at 8:40 pm ):

that bike is awesome. Shaved head tube and all. Looks sweet Jim. Sunday is so awesome.

  • D ( June 26th, 2008 at 9:11 pm ):

Sunday is rad. And Jim is a good guy. I’d buy a Sunday if they made a light, by current light bikes standards, frame. For all the thought that goes into it, I think they’d engineer some of the excess out of it.

  • cxv ( June 27th, 2008 at 2:26 am ):

^^^^^^ weight weenie you are D

  • Jim Cielencki ( June 27th, 2008 at 5:42 am ):

Hey, the weight of the frame was 4.71 lbs and the weight before brakes was 23.08 lbs. We try to balance out strength and weight not just weight when designing a frame.

  • Budnz ( June 27th, 2008 at 7:20 am ):

    9t driver on the Rachet!?

  • bobby p ( June 27th, 2008 at 7:41 am ):

black is the new black. and im so happy i just read ”cock mongers.” best way to start my day that i can think of.

  • n e i l ( June 27th, 2008 at 9:12 am ):

silver seat clamp bolt……what is that a race bike? tighten up.

  • Daniil ( June 27th, 2008 at 11:08 am ):

    “tWombolt”?

  • cal ( June 27th, 2008 at 11:26 am ):

    ^just what I was thinking.

  • Charly ( June 27th, 2008 at 11:57 am ):

hey jim your brake works fine?? what about the black ribcage and the black pads, don’t you have problems with it??

  • snarcotic ( June 27th, 2008 at 12:26 pm ):

    no pegs?

  • JohnW ( June 27th, 2008 at 8:02 pm ):

Is that clamp steel? It looks too thin to be aluminum. And when’s the Ratchet gonna be out?

  • Aaron ( June 28th, 2008 at 5:31 am ):

my god you are all nerds, if they were new wonbolts wouldn’t they say prototype on the list? and who cares what the seatclamp is, it will still do the same job. And as for the black rim and brakes, well of course they would work unless you can’t fix a bike. wow all jc has to do is post a typo or put weight specs out and you all go nuts… should put all this effort into getting a root

    P.S: Nice bike though, clean

  • Jim Cielencki ( June 28th, 2008 at 8:07 am ):

Yeah we are testing 9 tooth drivers for Ratchet hubs, not sure when they are coming out. I know what you are saying about the black pad/rim thing, but so far they work. I’ve always been lax about how well my brakes work, so they might not work as well as you might like. The seat clamp is steel, but its real thin and slim. We are trying to mimic the look of integrated seat clamps. As for the grips, Odyssey gave me these to ride because I like Longnecks a lot! Pegs will be back on real soon.

  • jeremy ( June 28th, 2008 at 8:42 am ):

    whats up with those k-lytes???

  • Tanner ( June 28th, 2008 at 11:10 am ):

Holly crap i love this bike cant wait till my black magic comes i just orderd one off of dans comp and i check my mail ever day waitign and waiting thanks jim for givng me some great ideas on new parts for my sunday! the only thing i change would be get all white pars =]]

  • JohnW ( June 28th, 2008 at 4:32 pm ):

I like the idea of the steel seat clamp. It can be a lot slimmer than an aluminum one and stronger.

Also, what’s with the 27-9? Seems like hills would be a bit of a pain. I’d rather run easier gearing like 25-10.

  • alex ( June 30th, 2008 at 2:55 am ):

hey, lovin the purple brakes, u guys gonna make em as like a limited editon run of em or are they already out, i havent seen em in any shop yet.
